Hmmmmm just wondering what 2 rashers, eggs and grapefruit will look like on a plate....... :-D

Thank you Sylvs........my attention was immediately drawn to the creme brulee :-D :-D

Jonesey - I so agree........you would hope that those in authority would have learned some lessons from the last couple of winters....but no.

Snow = panic mode.

Mind you, we're as guilty in this house. From the end of our drive we are about 6 ft. from a main road.

The problem is, our drive is on a slope, so I have to reverse down that slope and then reverse up a slight slope onto the road. (which is naughty).

Or, my usual way is to reverse down the slope, turn at an angle and then drive partway up a slight slope on the pavement - which is our normal way of getting out.

However, ice and slopes don't mix. :-( :-(

We are staying put till things look a bit better.

I had to dig snow away from the garage this morning because I had some vegetables out there..........they were frozen!

Roll on Spring.............. :-D :-D

Just had a phone call from my daughter. She has been on holiday in Tenerife and was due back on a flight due to arrive at Birmingham airport at 0:55am this morning. On the way back the plane was first diverted to Cardiff airport and was making its descent there when it was re-diverted to Manchester airport.

After landing in Manchester at 2:10am they were told that they would be returned to Birmingham by coach but were then told that no coaches were available. Now they have been told that Birmingham airport is open this morning so they will be flown back to Birmingham but no time has been mentioned.

Britain + Snow = Total Chaos.

it is sunny, blue skies, and around 8C at almost 1 pm

The weather forecasters and meteorologists in most of the US and Canada were actually apologizing earlier in the week because they had been so wrong in their long-range forecast for the winter.

It was supposed to be colder and snowier than "average", because of the La Nina effect ...........................

Instead, most areas have been warmer, and drier than average!

However, as one of our local meteorologists pointed out .......... there is still a month more of winter's stay.

Went to the takeaway and it's horrible out there - the roads are not nice at all. I had freezing rain on the windscreen which my wipers weren't clearing very well. I had to pull over until I could see properly... :-(

C'mon Spring..........we want you..... :-D :-D
