I live in a two bed bungalow but it is quite big and worth about £280k but these places in NZ were a quarter of the price...must have been an old program?

I have decided to move abroad :-D

I have just been watching a program called a "place in the sun" which at the moment is showing houses in Persies neck of the woods.

Dont know how old this program is but they are so cheap...are you anywhere neare Wainui persie?

Thailand is even cheaper and although I loved it when I went there, I dont think I could handle the heat now

Cyns

fascinating report in our weekend newspaper on autism ........... 2 studies that have been done looking at the historical occurrence of what we now call autism.

Lots of people say that there is an "epidemic" of it

...................... but studies in the UK and US are now showing that this is not so. Historic levels of occurrence have been about the same as the present-day

think, people in institutions, "eccentrics", loners, etc.

In the US, in particular, they are now trying to find and identify non-diagnosed autistics. The oldest diagnosed so far was 76.

There you all are................. :-D

Snow is still thick on the ground, had gritters this morning and they came again later but sons car was stuck at the top of our road so they couldnt get through!

I ended up shifting it and parking at the bottom of the drive, as like you Cyns, its on a slope and wouldnt risk attempting to get it up

Hello everyone!

ooops - missed lunch! [sorry Sylvia!] dont suppose that you have any of that Wild Mushroom Pate + Butternut Squash and Roasted Garlic Soup in the hidey hole do you? [it sounds delicious!!]

Nearly finished updating my family tree ... well got 98% of the names back on it - but none of the detail I did have. My memory isnt brill - but I find myself thinking of stuff in the early hours of the morning that I must remember to find!!!

For those who didnt read the book - the film of the 'time traveller's wife' is on tonight at 9pm. I hope that the film is as good as the book - cos the book was brillient!!! I would highly recommend it to those who like books that are written 'differently' - I am looking forward to the film [way past my normal bedtime, but hopefully worth staying up for!!!] ;-)
