I thought she looked like a cork screw....stupid woman.

We have been dismantling a tenants deck.. so I have a few splinters and scratches...

We knew when we purchased the place the deck would not last much longer.. it has done well.. whoever put it up left the concrete front steps in tact (thank goodness) and put the deck over the top and made new (at the time) front steps further out.
We will give them a deck but it won't be as large. The prats that made it used untreated wood for the decking ... so that is all going to our neighbours up the street for firewood.

Tomorrow I have to go to physio... my foot has never fully recovered from being broken two years ago, and I am sick of wandering off kerbs like Edna the inebriate woman.

Edit: My OH has had that colonoscopy several times and has suggested it to me.. but after watching the drama of what goes on beforehand no thank you... he had to eat lots of starchy food and then just liquid (not just going in either) .. buddy awful :-S

Toast (sourdough, rye, white, whole grain, 100% brown, Hovis, gluten free),

Balm Cakes
brie, onion and red pepper focaccia


bacon & cheese quiche
cheese and onion tarts,
smoked salmon quiche


stirfry (chicken, or vegetarian),
Chicken Karage (Japanese deep fried chicken pieces)
Jamaican beef patties
Veggie Wrap (Fresh Tomatoes, Basil, Roasted Peppers and Feta Cheese),


apple pecan muffins
cranberry & orange muffins
raisin bran muffins


jams, jellies


Tea, coffee, juices


(some bacon, turkey sausage or sausage patties, eggs, tomatoes, olive oil, in the hidey place to cook up for the very hungry ones!)

OH was at the dermatologist last week ......... he has these "spots" on his face, which they treat with liquid nitrogen.

If one of them at his temple is still not healed after 1 month, then he has to go back and have it cut out.


They are, of course, all pre-cancerous ........ and where the sun has caught him over the years .......... on the tips of his ears, his temple, and also on the backs of his hands.


OH has great fun with that guy ......... who is Welsh :-D

I probably should have another one, just to check everything is still OK



The guy who did it WAS more experienced than Dea's :-D



The guy who does OH's also seem to be experienced

............ just leaves a little note on the pillow to say what has been done and what the next instructions are :-)

A friend of ours had an endoscopy recently - he reckoned the person who did it was more used to rigging sailing ships.........:-D




Hope your OH likes beef bouillon Sylvs.... :-S

At least , as they say, - 'the only way is up !!!'

Last year I had an endoscopy - (the down one) !! - DON'T tell him this before he has it done !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the person who did it was quite new !!

He got me on the table and 'went to it' !!

Unfortunately, there are two ways down !! - One goes down into the stomach (which is what I expected), HOWEVER, if you go wrong,, you go down the main respiritory tract into the lungs which is what he did !!!

He wondered why I was gasping for breath and turning blue !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D :-D

Anyway, thankfully the nurses realised and he pulled it all out !

Let's have one more try he says and if it doesn't work we will call you back.!

I knew that if he called me back that I would not come !

SO, I told the nurses to tell me exactly what I had to do and stuck to their instructions !!

They know best and it worked the next time .

OH is on a clear liquid diet today, plus jello

Can't have any juices or jello coloured red, purple or blue

But can have coffee or tea without milk

Breakfast
Coffee
Beef bouillon

Lunch
Beef bouillon
Orange jello

Early coffee time
Coffee


Take pills

Dinner
Beef bouillon
orange jello


Then take special liquid tonight and tomorrow morning







C ..... we will go down on the bus, and then I'll order a cab home ........ the hospital has a direct line to one of the cab companies in town right in the Entrance Hall.



This is the 6 year check-up after he had the colon re-section in December 2005. Check-ups in 2006 and 2007, then told not to return until around December 2011.

This counts as December 2011 :-S
