yes,

I'm hoping that reading our pms is a "once in a lifetime thing", when someone complains, like I did.

On the other hand ....... how would they know that what I said about the pms was true unless they could read them????

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 2 Mar 2012 19:19

we've had a recall on our car

............ minor, obviously, because the recall came 2 months go, and the car doesn't go in until March 21

at least it won't cost us anything :-D

Gee

Gee Report 2 Mar 2012 19:18

Glad you got it sorted Syl.....still not good that GR can read our PMs, I wouldnt like to think my isp can read some of mine :-0

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 2 Mar 2012 18:51

I don't like that either jax. Hopefully, they only do this when an issue arises. :-|

Hair nice sorted...had a good afternoon there actually. I've known the stylists for a long time and we had a good gossip when the shop emptied out for a while. Very invigorating :-D :-D

Car is back....the bill is in three figues but at least all is well now.... :-S

jax Report 2 Mar 2012 18:08

I dont like the fact GR can read our pm's

PM means private message not something everyone who works at Genes can read

Anyway at least it shows what he has done on this occasion

response from GR re the pms sent to my friend ..............

"Thanks for this.
I've just found the message Stephen sent to your contact. I've also looked through his other messages and can't find any others mentioning you. I'm not sure what has happened in the past between you both and I hope you can appreciate we can't get involved in personal disputes between members, but we've written to him, and warned him about this message as it's clearly not acceptable behaviour on his part.

We'll be checking to see if he sends any more emails out like this as we don't want this type of behaviour on the site. Would you like me to block Stephen from contacting you again?"

---------

I have not asked for him to be blocked ......... we'll see what happens.

There is one snide little comment on one thread that I go on on Suggestions, but it will mean nothing to anyone who does not know what has happened.

Regarding the other problem, the use of my maiden name in the email GR sent to him, this is their response ................

"Thanks for your feedback on this
I can confirm my colleague has amended your details so your surname and maiden name now do not appear anywhere in your profile information.
I'm sorry for any distressed caused but your name will never be revealed again. I do hope this does not spoil your enjoyment of the site."

---------------

I am happy with both.

Subject: Dont be hoodwinked

Dont be hoodwinked by Sylvia for this person is the one who reported my posts, how do i know this the help desk told me.

3:36 PM

It is this person who is reporting what you have posted. If in a response you have disagreed with her comments.

--------------------

Unless I have completely lost my marbles (NO COMMENT!), I have not reported ANY threads or posts by Stephen.

How do I know how many other people he has contacted, with these statements that completely malign me?

I have reported them to GR, and asked for advice on how to deal with the situation.

I DID NOT!

I've heard of this kind of thing happening, but never been subjected to it!!
