Linda

Welcome,

I understand perfectly -- I too had a similar family situation, and like you, read this thread as an escape --

please drop in and post

I often wonder how many other are doing what I did and you are

Renes :-D

Hi Linda,

Welcome to "Fred". Sorry to hear of your family problems.

Not sure about your comment that reading our posts has helped to keep you sane. Most of the regular posters on here are shall we say (Being kind here) just a bit nutty verging on the downright daft. They are all quite harmless though.

Feel free to pop on to the thread whenever you feel the mood.

Hi everyone,
I have been trying to decide where to post "Hello" to everyone hope this is ok. I havent posted for ages (although I have been dipping in and out and following you all) Just as I was getting to grips with my FT last year my OH got the chance of early retirement just 2 weeks after retiring he was diagnosed with bowel cancer had op couldnt remove tumour then decided it was Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and he has undergone chemo. Its been a bit of a rollercoaster and really hectic not left much time for anything else. However we are still here and I am itching to get back on track but dreading trying to make sense of all my notes.
Really just wanted to say hi and that while I wasnt posting just reading all your posts helped keep me sane!

Gins.....we know you're trying....VERY trying! :-P

I haven't got an issue with anything at the moment on here - for which I am much relieved but I have, occasionally, resorted to opening up in za or whatever and have found things working fine. :-S :-S

Hi all,

Renes, Thank you for your suggestion. Tried it but unfortunately that did not work either. Tried my usual approach this morning but once again got the "Sorry" message when trying to connect to "My threads"

I then thought that I would try something different so without logging out or closing the window I opened up a second window and instead of going to www.genesreunited.co.uk I went to www.genesreunited.co.za Once there I clicked "My threads" and voila "My threads" opened up perfectly.

It should be interesting to see how the GR technical people explain that.
