We had Jubly's in those plastic triangles - sort of frozen orange juice - you would snip off the corner and suck it through as it melted !!!

School milk was always in glass bottles and, as Jax recalls, always warm.........HORRID !!!

It's no wonder I have never liked milk since ;-) :-D

You must be quite young in comparison to 'us lot' Ivy :-) :-0

We had mini bottles of milk in the 1970s.....not heard of other variations?

jax

jax Report 10 Apr 2012 19:13

We had third of a pint glass bottles with foil tops...always warm as the crate was left near the radiator.

I have never liked the taste of neat milk so I used to take some nesquick powder to school with me.

I hated the milk in those plastic triangles

I was never a milk monitor

but I was always tall for my age

and I loved milk, while lots didn't, of course.

so all through elementary school, at various times, we would be made to stand at our desks, there would be a lecture about people not drinking milk, and almost invariably at some point the teacher would say

"Look at Sylvia, she always drinks her milk and see how tall she is"

aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh
