Potatoes used to be like that over here Persie, but alas, no longer !!

I used to grow all my own veg in my last house as we had a lovely big garden, plus, I was a lot younger and fitter then.

It was hard work but SO worth the effort :-)

I even grew beautiful sweetcorn - freshly picked and smothered in butter it was 'to die for' - How I miss it :-(

Potatoes are very good over here...

New ones lovely with their jackets on.. bit of butter on them and maybe parsley or chives...

Mashed... you can buy potatoes that are for mashing here.. one lot are called agria.. sometimes I put chives.. in with the butter and milk to mash.. Stir in a raw egg and then pop the mash on top of your steak and kidney or mince

One of the plates I take to BBQs... is... I cut up cubed potatoes and bacon sprinkle with garlic or rosemary or both and roast in oil. Giving them a shake around.. or if in a hurry parboil potatoes first.

And I love left over potatoes sliced up and sauteed...

I will do Tuesdays Breakfast... aha ...

Do you want a hotel one, foreign or something I slap together.. promise no shellfish Dea.

I'm doubtful if I will have time to do breakfast for Tuesday morning ............ so could someone please pick it up for me????

Then I should definitely be back by Sunday, so I can do next Monday's meal.

We may be back on late on Saturday ....... but it depends on road conditions ............. and there has been some major flooding in a couple of the areas we have to pass through. So I would rather someone else did Sunday's meals as well.

Many thanks ............... and I am sure Dea will thank you as well :-D :-D

Sylvia I have searched on place of birth no name.
I tried freebmd with Etch* and other permutations.
I tried searching for clar* c186 2 in 1891 and checked the marriages for each result and still nothing I feel confident about. :-|

I've looked at that Etcher thread 2 or 3 times, and just cannot find anyhting that seems to fit.

The image is very clear, so it isn't a mis-transcription.

I keep trying to think what name could ahve been mis-heard as Etcher

or is she married, not unmarried

or is it not her real name, or birth place .......... or ??????????????

I hate it ..............................

the arthritis in the toe next to the littlest toe flared up almost 2 weeks ago.

Everything gets inflamed and sore ........ I know what to do ............

.......... but it has now moved to my big toe.

It's soooooooooooooooo painful to walk, and I can't wear shoes!

Had to go to the opera (Aida) last night in sandals ..... which didn't exactly help matters

If I'm not on here, I will either be doing OH's tree .............. or lying on the bed with an ice pack on my foot and my foot elevated. :-( :-(
