Have to say that I am feeling a bit jaded about the whole discussion thing.

What with the upset of someone not understanding why I gavethem advice and the fact that GR are being so blinkered, I have decided not to advise or pm newbies who post on old threads.

It makes me feel guilty though...... :-(

Salmon Benny’: 2 softly poached eggs served on locally caught and smoked salmon and an English muffin, smothered in freshly made hollandaise sauce. Served with Hash browns

Pancakes: Freshly cooked pancakes. Short or tall stacks…whichever you prefer. Served with butter and warmed maple syrup

All seem good to me. Nice to have a day off to enjoy it.

If I am having a hobbit moment I may go back for some more. :-D :-D

Wonderful breakfast Persie !

I will start with the English Breakfast please : 1 egg, fried on both sides, with broiled tomato, broiled mushrooms, baked beans AND ham, AND bacon AND sausage and toast

This is lovely........ <3 <3

No need to apologise for the 'fishy things' - I don't mind otyher people enjoying them, I just can't have them myself ;-) :-D

I will be back for some of that Walnut, brandy and raisin tart when I have eaten this lot :-D

Breakfast ready at Gins House:

Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice, POG (Passion Fruit, Orange & Guava Juices) –
Berry Smoothie – freshly made with berries, fruit juices and Frozen yoghurt
Banana Smoothie – Freshly made with banana and fruit juices

Hot Beverages:
Coffee - Bodum of Freshly ground coffee – Featuring local roasts from the Salt Spring Island Brewing Company.  (Also available with decaffeinated coffee)

Tea - Pot of Tea for two: Orange Pekoe, Orange Pekoe – Decaffeinated, English Breakfast, Camomile – Decaffeinated, Peppermint - Decaffeinated

Hot Chocolate
 
Cereals:
Oatmeal Crisp with Berries ,Wheatbix, All Bran

With Fresh Fruit, Natural Yoghurt and/or Honey
 
Breads:
(All breads are served with Butter or Margarine and seasonal homemade jams and preserves we do have a very nice crab apple jelly. Please specify if you have a favourite!)
multi-grain or whole-grain bread, sour dough and dark rye, gluten free, ciabatta, olive foccacia bread

Fresh Croissants .. hot with brie and mushrooms or cold with ham, tomato and camembert for your lunch box. Or add a side order to a croissant.

A selection of Freshly Baked Seasonal fruit and berry muffins
Toasted bagel with jam or cream cheese

Yoghurts: Fresh natural Yoghurt, Fresh Raspberry, Peach, Vanilla, Strawberry, Blueberry
 
Egg Dishes (All eggs fresh daily from our flock):

Boiled Egg with Soldiers: Boiled egg served to your preference with strips of brown or white toast for dipping. 

Canadian Breakfast: 1 or 2 eggs any style served with Canadian Back Bacon, Pancakes (or toast) and Hash Browns.

English Breakfast: 1 or 2 eggs any style served with broiled tomato, broiled mushrooms, baked beans and your selection of ham, bacon or sausage and toast

European Breakfast: A selection for fresh local and imported cheeses served with ham, salami, hunters’ sausage and a selection of breads.

Eggs Benedict: 2 softly poached eggs served on cooked ham and an English muffin, smothered in freshly made hollandaise sauce. Served with Hash browns.

Eggs Blackstone: 2 softly poached eggs served on bacon rashers and an English muffin, smothered in freshly made hollandaise sauce.

Waffles: Freshly made fluffy waffles from our own recipe, served with butter, and warmed maple syrup or golden syrup

Strawberry Waffles: Freshly made fluffy waffles from our own recipe, topped with strawberries and whipped cream

Bagel & Lox: Freshly toasted bagel topped with cream cheese and layered with thinly slices, cold-smoked, local salmon

Piggies in a Blanket: Three grilled sausages wrapped in fresh buttermilk pancakes. Served with fresh butter and warm maple syrup.

Corn and chive fritters with sour cream and relish.

Lunch box .. salad sandwiches with or without ham, egg and mayonnaise, corned beef and pickle, thinly sliced lamb, lettuce and onion marmalade.

Scones: Pumpkin, date or cheese. Muffins as above.

Walnut, brandy and raisin tart
( if you are eating in there is caramel custard in the jug)

Carrot and chestnut cake with honey frosting.

Anzac pudding (with or without custard)
