Oh dear

We do have 'em don't we..

Bit like himself rushing to get shuttle bus at Launceston.. all that was on his mind was that Lonely Planet said they didn't run after a certain hour during winter season.

He comes rushing back through the outer door .... yelling out come on Persie there is a shuttle there now which can take us.. To which I called out back I think we should collect our luggage first, don't you think... everyone who was waiting for luggage trolley (don't have a carousel or moving belt there) went all quiet...

He did the same thing with the laundromat in Hobart.. woman there had offered to bag our stuff up whilst we went off for most of the day... (no charge).. as he was leaving town at end of day and heading off in different direction..... I had to say would be a good idea to go to North Hobart first and pick up our clothes.

Persie xx

Meeting was great, food in the hotel was great ..............

OH got his award, and a lapel pin to wear.

BUT ....................

................... I spent almost 2 hours last Monday morning sorting out what I was taking. Ended up with wearing 1 skirt, plus a second more dressy skirt, 5 tops including 1 slightly more dressy, chiffon scarf vest.

Put OH's sports coat, 2 dress shirts and extra pair of pants, plus my dressy skirt and chiffon vest into a suit bag, rather than into case.

OH puts suit bag in study overnight.

We leave on Tuesday morning.

I trust OH to load the car, as per usual.

On Wednesday morning, we are packing the car after a night in a motel ................. and OH asks "where is the suit bag?"

YEP ............ it's still on the settee in the study back home :-D :-D

First thing OH does when we arrive at the meeting hotel is go out into the town and buy himself a new dress shirt ..................... he pays about twice what I normally pay for his shirts. And thinks he got a good deal :-0

I don't bother trying to find anything in the stores ........... it was too wet to move out from the hotel!

I will let you into a secret now - my father only had one pair of these - the usual ones were the old white 'shorts type' undies with the wide band of white elastic up top which gave out quite quickly and was held together with a big safety pin !!!

Dea Xxx ;-) :-D

Dea

Dea Report 6 May 2012 21:10

Just a though (nasty though it was) !! The person I was behind in the 'low swung' jeans was wearing undies which showed WAY above them !!

I would swear that they were the old 'bri-nylon' y fronts' - Maybe he got them at the charity shop ?????

My dad would have been Soooooo 'in fashion' now !!! :-)

Yeh Cynths - the latest fashion here seems to be jeans which fall down to just below the 'builders bum' level !!

The crotch is formed at knee level - I REALLY don't know how they can walk in them !!! :-S

Wonder if Gins has heard of Fisher Price ? :-S

Jonesey.....Gins won't have a clue about a 'slip'......or a petticoat......sigh. In fact, there isn't a great number in M & S to be honest. I just like one on if my skirt is a bit.....er....see through.....if you know what I mean.

Anyone noticed how the young lads of today go round with their underwear showing? Apparently it's a fashion statement. :-0

Hello everyone
just caught up with the past couple of days
hope everyone is ok and having a nice weekend
found some old toys when we were clearing the loft and GG loves the ones we brought down for her
The fisher Price school house kept her amused for hours we found a few toys that you cant get now remember the circus train and the drum set (need earplugs when she plays the mouth organ and clashes the cymbals at the same time) :-)
checked online and some of them are selling for a good price but when you think my son played with them we have got great use from them so will be keeping them :-D
