Dea problem is No 1 son wouldnt agree to his "baby" being put into kennel he is fed up having to "move out" every week when he and the dog stay here :-(
We werre trying to help No2 save money and also to spend time with GD me fears its a case of "never the two shall meet" problem is I can see No 1's point BUT it is No 2's daughter so his rules and if No 1 would try saving he would be in his own house by now but its not easy and his partner isnt helping she has a strop every so often and causes problems where their is no need. I know she is just worried about her Mum esp as she lost her Dad just over a year ago.
Me old mam used to say "nae wee faces nae big problems" thing is she would have sorted them out in a jiff :-)

I guess the best thing is, to keep it practical, pragmatic and not personal

Kennels, or a 'dog walker type service' Linds !!!!!!!!! - Get the yellow pages out and make sure that No 1 son pays ;-)

Evening All,
Had GD today and again tomorrow but the s**t has hit the fan literally!
No 1 son (who is still in house) bought a staffie pup while we were on holiday a few years ago. No 2 son (GD's Dad) doesnt want it near her so up to now No 1 has been staying at his girlfriends the night b4 we are on duty and the dog stays there for the day.
All been hunky dory but now her poor Mum is starting chemo next week and the girlfriend is throwing a strop doesnt want the dog there (despite the fact that she was here when my OH was going through his chemo and no probs.
Now I have to say we cant watch GD unless we go to theirs but that suggestion went down like a lead brick in the past.
From past experience think they will ask DIL's aunt and it makes me upset that they would rather do that than us going to theirs. :-(
I feel that Im damned if I do and damned if I dont and I know that the boys are going to have words no matter what happens.
The really annoying thing is that the dog is brilliant with kids and that we have always had a dog since kids were small.
any suggestions aaargh!!

We are back from our home visits today.

We are tired but that is partly down to the heat. The last one did not happen. The son spoke to us about 2 weeks ago of a patient we have seen regularly for a few years. We called up yesterday to book and we were given the go ahead. We got there today and he was distressed as a national mobile company had turned yesterday and tested him and presented him with a hefty bill.The annoying thing is that someone else could have had that slot.

Hey Julie.......if you need hydrating, if it's a hot day when you are in hospital, why not suggest they set you up in the gardens and let you lie under the sprinkler with refreshment being brought at regular intervals?? :-D :-D Hope all goes well.

Sylvia....I had pineapple when i had my last lot of chemo when i had BC , not sure it helped with that metal taste but my platelets were never down, but this time they were so couldn't have 2nd lot of chemo so am back on the pineapple.
They have changed my chemo to every 3 weeks & i'll stay in hospital over night for this one cos it takes 12 hours & i need to be hydrated before & after.

TC all.....summer has arrived whoop whoop lolol
