................ and I know that some of the others there are 5'6"or less (while others are 6'2" or taller :-D)

Glad you had a "lovely chap" visiting!!

Hi Linda

can you control your IBS with Imodium???

It works for me, and it was a doctor's suggestion for an untreatable condition!

Hope it all works out.

Cyn

the story I've been reading re the Olympic torches are .................

they cost around £450 to make

people can buy the one they carried for £200

some have been offered on eBay ........ one sold for around £145,000. That woman was allegedly selling it to raise money for a charity that she supported.

there was a thread on Chat that directed people to another entry on eBay .................... the bids had reached £245,000. The kicker was that it was for a PHOTO of a torch :-S :-S :-S

so yes, people are making loads of money out of the torches ................ and others are proving that there really is "one born every minute" :-D

I'm not sure that I liked Buffy St Marie .............. some very good recordings, some just plain awful!

But she was huge in Canada and the US in the 60s and 70s ........ and was always part of the protest movements.

I think many of the awards she has received, including the one yesterday, are as much for her achievements outside the music industry.

I was surprised at how tiny she was! Only about 5'4" or 5' 5" ....... somehow, I've always had the impression that she was much taller

Hello All,
Persie D-I-L hasn't said she wants us to go their the problem is last time I suggested it it went down like a lead balloon :-(

mind you I dont know if I would have wanted my M-I-L at mine not that she ever kept them for a full day :-)

sorry to hear you are leaving us :-(

Sylvia what a busy time you are having

The "girlfriend" has asked us if we want to go to the coast tomorrow!
might be an olive branch but the problem is all this has set off my IBS again and totally undone all the good of our holiday.

We had GD yesterday and I finally got to collect my new specs and yes "I can see clearly now" :-D

We then got back into car to take her to the park I can hear her ripping paper in the back seat but thought it ws just leaflets that had fell out of the paper.

We park the car and OH jumps out to get GD out as he does I turn round in time to see Gd toss something onto the back seat.

OH says the wee devil she had been into his folder that he keeps all his car stuff in :-D :-D

Luckily it was only a receipt for when he had the AA out to change a tyre :-)

I couldnt stop laughing at the way she had tossed it onto the seat as Grampa was going to get her :-D

Will your 'visitor' be tall, dark and handsome Cynthia ?? ;-) :-D

..........and I can (and have) do a very good impression of Hilda singing "There'll be bluebirds over the white cliffs of Dover". Bet you're sorry you've never heard me...... :-D :-D

Went to hairdressers today and she was telling me how the Olympic Torch(es) being carried around, are given to the people who carry them. Apparently, a couple of the first people to carry have sold their torches on EB for upwards of £100,000!! Just how true that is, I know not but.....???

It's coming our way next week. Wow! I think I'll find a wall to paint and watch it dry....... :-D

Just waiting for a visitor.............

Oh my gawd Ja...x - I don't remember her being quite that AWFUL !!!

I have just realised what a wondferful singer 'I' am. I didn't reckon much to my singing voice before, but if what I have just listened to can be called a 'singing voice', then mine is about 100 times better ! ;-) :-D :-D
