It has been an interesting last couple of days during which.:

I have proven a bigamous marriage and an illicit affair thanks to a combination of the probate register, census records going back to 1881 and a marriage certificate from 1932.

I have discovered the exact details of the circumstances of the death during WW2 of a 1st cousin once removed.

I feel that I am very close to discovering the identity of the father of a relation who was born illegitimate in 1918.

Never a dull moment.

The only sad note being hearing about the death during Thursday night/Friday morning of another 1st cousin once removed just under 2 months short of her 96th birthday.

Hello Dea!!!

Your breakfast have been lovely [in Sylvia's absence - where is she???] but where is my eggy bread???? :-S

I had to make do with sausage, egg, bacon, mushrooms and baked beans + danish pastries this morning. It was a lovely change - but I do love my eggy bread!!! :-(

I is here Dea.....well, here and there really.

I'll miss Persie's breakfasts too........you had to spend half an hour googling to find out what things were...... :-D :-D

Daughter went to get her fringe cut today. She didn't think she would be long so I dropped her off and went to a nearby car park to wait for her. Three quarters of an hour later she turns up. I could have had a pile of ironing done in that time........sheeesh

Perhaps she might reconsider??

Persie is currently planning to leave GR on 12/6/2012 so if you want her to be first reserve breakfast maker then you had better start some sweet talking PDQ.

Fantastic news Dea.

Fil had sugery some years ago for an aortic aneurysm.

He was in surgery for 14 hours abd in a intensive cre for amonth.

He was confused and aggressive when he woke,

After 3 months they put him in a convalescence home but he did return to his normal self and returned home to live on his own. :-D

Not cooking meat does not mean one cannot put the kettle on Gins dear! :-P

Thanks Dea - much appreciated. We certainly miss both Sylvs and Persie when they're not around don't we? :-(

The weather is just awful.....rain, rain, rain. I hope all the reservoirs are now full and we can have some sunshine back again.

Mind you, the rain is a good excuse for staying indoors and playing on here though...... :-D

Got to go and finish printing a birthday card for my grandson who is 13 tomorrow...........feeling old again!

Dea Report 9 Jun 2012 07:44

Well Ginns,

As you were first up you could have at least set out the cereals and put the kettle on !!! :-(

Have done that now and been to the bakers for the croissants, danish pastries and rolls...

The porridge is bubbling and fresh fruits choped.

Platters of cheeses and hams are ready and I made a Quiche Lorraine and a Mushroom Quiche.

Sausages, eggs and bacon in the warmers + mushrooms, tomatoes and baked beans.

Enjoy everyone.................

See you later!

Yes thanks Gins....I love it when I don't have to cook. :-D

Also went to coffee shop with daughter - the one I took you-know-who to. They are SO popular but only small - they needed elastic sides today. Beautifully prepared and served food and very reasonable prices too.

Mind you, trailing round Tesco's does rather take the edge off things....

Hoping to get an early night tonight I fink.
