Wonderful! I can never resist a full English - not the full monty though..... ;-)

You've really excelled yourself this morning Persie and we're loving it <3

Dear Mr Jonesey, if I ask very, very nicely, please may I have a pm as well? It would brighten up a possibly loooooong day!

Also, may I ask for some advice? How on earth do I trace a rellie who was in WW2 but I have no idea whether it was army/navy/marines etc. He is a mysterious chap and was, apparently, one of Montgomery's bodyguards. Not a lot to go on really.

Thirteen years ago today, our grandson was born......we nearly lost him when he stopped breathing at 2 days old. We're so very blessed to have him healthy, well and full of fun. Love him to bits. <3

Brunch for later on>>>

Full English Breakfast: Back bacon, poached or fried eggs, fried or grilled tomatoes, fried mushrooms, fried bread or toast with butter, sausages and baked beans served with a mug of tea to help wash it down..

Now if you want the Full Monty... to the above add.. black pudding, fried left over mashed potatoes or bubble and squeak...

and perhaps fried onion rings and you can replace the bread with fried oat cakes..

Ulster Fry up.. Bacon rashers, eggs, sausages, vegetable roll, farl or boxty...

Scottish Brekkie: eggs, back bacon, link sausage, buttered toast, baked beans and tea or coffee. The to this add black pudding and tatie scones. Can add fried or grilled tomato and/or mushrooms and if you like black pudding and haggis. This is to be preceded with your Robbie Burns oatmeal porridge.

Welsh Breakfast... bacon and eggs plus laver bread (not much good for Dea .. she probably doesn't like seaweed) fried in bacon fat and a few cockles as well..

Lumberjack Breakfast: Ham and eggs plus buckwheat galettes, boudin, cretons pommes and persillade and baked beans...... bit concerned about this one.. Persil is the brand of washing powder I use in my Front Loader..

The blue plate special: this is where you eat whatever is shoved under your nose...no choosing what you have..

Vegetarian breakfasts ..
Veggie Burger: homemade brown lentil and tofu patty with salad and your choice of Bali High, plum sauce or homemade tomato sauce and optional cheese, on a bun.

Hungarian Stroganoff – black-eyed beans and mushrooms in a rich, creamy sauce.

Breakfast burrito. Wrap beans, guacamole, and leftover stir-fry veggies in a whole wheat tortilla for one commute-friendly breakfast.

Assorted breads, crumpets. muffins (carrot and walnut, Banana and lemon syrup, blueberry and white chocolate, spinach and feta) Scones.. (pumpkin, date or emmenthal cheese)

Dried fruit, nuts and cheese board.

Various spreads in cupboard above the microwave.

I will pop these on the counter for the early birds...

Granola mash-up. Homemade berry compote, top with a few handfuls of granola, and pour in a little soy or almond milk for creaminess. Give it a stir.. and voila..

Gammon Ham and creamed corn butties.

Grilled breakfast sausages, or lamb cutlets with grilled tomatoes.

Scrambled eggs with chives, smoked salmon or mushrooms.

For Lains.... French Toast... Thick slices of bread, soaked in beaten eggs with milk and cinnamon, toasted in a frying pan, and served with butter and maple syrup.

Or a bit of continental style pains, brioche and croissants with Hot chocolate.

If the weather is okay please take and eat on the deck.. pitchers of juice, and Eric has brought the Tea Urn...

Well the weight loss has been going OKish, Ive lost about 1st.7 up to now but these last two weeks, I dont seem to have lost anything at all :-(

My food intake has been averaging about 1200 calories a day and I have not drank any booze since Sheffield Utd lost in the play offs, not a sniff, not even wine in the pasta sauce

Soooo, I dont know what the heck is going on. Mind you, JB did fall on the scales when he passed out in the bathroom, maybe he knocked the calibration out?

Still, I will not be defeated

Dea Report 9 Jun 2012 20:41

Laines - Ginns doesn't eat or cook meat because she is vegetarian !!

However, for some strange reason she is still in need of a diet !!

It would still be nice to see how it is going for her though !!

Are you still 'on target' Ginns ??

lainie39 Report 9 Jun 2012 19:59

You have had a 'profitable time' then Jonesey!!?? Well done you! :-D

I have to admit that I have'nt done much research this past month or so - and you very quickly lose the thread of where you were, dont you? Must get back to it soon!

I have been painting, filling plaster, sorting out cupboards etc and have lost my genealogy train of thought!!! [although my ancestors are never far from my thoughts! lol]
