1911 on ancestry still has the disability column blocked ............... so you need either fmp or the original 1911 census (pay-per-view) if you want to see that column.

jax Report 12 Jun 2012 20:16

Since I had the gold membership they have changed the way of searching on here...much better it looks

I suppose it's what suits your needs and if money is no real problem

I prefer my ancestry tree plus the fact most of my ancestors came from London so lots of marriages and baptisms to attach.

I have world wide ancestry now but think I wasted my money...but I was nosey and wanted to see what you got.

I have full FMP....do I still need it now 1911 is on ancestry? maybe not

Jax

I have annual Premium membership on ancestry.co.uk, and renewed last month for £107.40.

The annual World-Wide membership is £155.40

The annual Essentials membership is £83.40

I'm still looking at also having fmp membership .............. OH did say he would pay for it as my anniversary present ........ last August :-)

Linda

Gold membership no longer exists ........... there is now only Platinum, which costs more than Gold at £49.98 for 6 months

Standard might be the better deal for you at approximately £15 for 6 months, IF you do not want continuous access to the GR records.

You can always buy credits for the records, or ask for look-ups on the boards.

I had gold for the first 6 months could'nt get on with it.

Dont know what the essentials ancestry package costs but I am sure it is more than the gold or platinum on here

6 months FMP is £70 before discount

I have to congratulate GR

I got an immediate response to my email to Accounts ............... the increased sub was all connected up with last year's problems.

I am to pay £9.95 .......... and I may well be refunded the 20% discount as well :-D :-D :-D :-D

Other help was alos involved in sorting this out.

Many thanks to everyone :-)

I think I will definitely stay

................... actually OH promised to pay the increased rate if that was necessary, just to keep me happy ......... isn't he nice?

Persie

sorry to hear that Anya had to have an op, but let's hope this solves all her problems

I had to have my appendix out when I was 19, just 3 months before I was to sit my final exams at school (the A levels for those who remember them!)

I had no problems then, and none since.

Sorry that this is your last day. I'll miss you . :-( :-( :-( :-(

see you on the dark side :-D :-D :-D :-D

Well I am pleased to see that you will be staying with us Cynths <3 <3 <3

Just taken grand-daughter to Brownies so have an hour before we pick her up again and take her home.

I can then collect my car (I hope) as I lent it to DIL because her's had to go in for repair. I am sure she will be glad to drive her own again instead or my 'vintage model' - Mind you, at least mine doesn't keep going wrong and costing a furtune to repair ;-) :-D

Ooh it is a hectic life being a Grannie - not that I would change a minute of it !

Oh yes.......meant to say......I'm not going from here - not unless the price bumps up to a ridiculous level. I enjoy mooching around on the boards and helping if I can.

How are all you talented researchers going satisfy your urges to dig into a puzzle if you go??? :-S

Hello Wall............oh.....Wall has gorn hasn't he :-(

Had a strange day really. After my chat with the health trainer yesterday, I have to wear a pedometer. I keep stopping to check how many steps I have taken. Am up to 4,836 at the mo. Must do better.

Couldn't get on the internet till about 11am....had to grovel about checking my router - such fun. The wheel came off my desk chair and the wheel came off my little set of office drawers. I'm wheel-less!!!!

When I did get online, I got sidetracked onto a discussion thread on here - as I tend to at times.

We got a call yesterday to say that some equipment for OH was being delivered so I hung about dusting bedrooms etc. (as you do). At long last it arrived. A seat for the bath and an inflatable pillow for the bed......

This should prove interesting......OH has to sleep on an incline and this wotsit goes underneath the mattress across both sides of the bed.

So.....looks like we will both be sleeping on an incline.... :-S

We've said we'll try it for one night but, if it causes sleeplessness - ferget it!!

Went into town today to get my engagement ring altered and, on the way back to the car, OH decided to pop into Clarke's to look at some sandals. His feet are quite small so, after some searching, the assistant came out with a suitable pair. She checked how much they were .... £7.99! Why? Because they were from last year's sale and had originally been £45.........exit one happy bunny!

So glad Anya is okay Persie and it's really good that she will have a normal life now. I love normality. I had my appendix out when I was 10 and it was just 6 months after my dad had his out......that was really strange.

Poor Sylvs.........it definitely seems to be the time to sell the cabin - it will be one less thing to worry about. Thanks for the AS link - have responded.

Hope you have a lovely time with your friend Lainie......it's always nice to see old friends. :-D

Hope the blood tests went okay LK. Don't forget to keep us posted. <3

Back later ~~~~~

SO pleased for her Persie - just a shame they didn't do this more than a year ago then she would have been spared all that suffering.

Anyway, as you say, she can now get on with the rest of her life.

Huggs to all <3 <3 <3

Hugs to everyone else 'having things done' at the moment too <3 <3 <3

Good news Pers.... unless she eats grass and such, she wont miss her apendix ;-)

Off to go and do some prep for tomorrow

Pers, does your sub run out at midnight UK time?
