Hi Gins,

Have you been to Sheffield??

Joyce.

Linda

Linda Report 13 Jun 2012 21:54

I'm exhausted :-)

my friend from Australia came to visit today it was lovely to catch up with each others news.
we also had GD today and son and partner were flitting in and out getting ready for their Italy trip. They left about 2pm to go to the studio and organise the van etc and they are not home yet?

D-I-L is hyper cos her works contract is changing and might not get hours to suit . Son comes to pick wee one up and then we start clearing the toys.

OH says cant find car keys we phone everyone no one seen them son checks wee ones buggy cos grampa had her out a walk and used keys to get buggy out of car. No sign of them.

Spend an hour and a half looking for them - emptying bins, toy chest etc, etc :-(

he got sent upstairs to watch the footie and I am on my 2nd glass of wine - help yourselves glasses and choice of wine and chocolates on table

Oh shouts from hall "got them come and see where they were"

He had put them on top of the door chime out of reach of GD and forgotten where he had put them :-|

By this time its 7.45pm and we haven't had dinner :-P :-)

going for a browse about

The mind is boggled :-D

I think a split bed, or twin beds, is/are required!

Then you can lie there and watch OH slide off the bottom :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Vans were the hit with my boys a a few years ago....'skater' shoes

You need one of those beds that are split in the middle so you can lay flat and OH can lay at angle

Cynthia Report 13 Jun 2012 19:41

Yes really Gins! The inflater makes a noise like a vaccum cleaner and the wotsit looks like a life support machine - wires everywhere :-S

I had rather hysterical visions of OH pressing the button for the mattress to lift higher and then sliding off the bottom of the bed.........slaps wrist...

Lots of hithering and thithering again today. Took grandson into town after school to buy some 'vans' with his birthday money. Vans? White vans? Black vans? I am enlightened. It's the name of a brand of casual shoe - bit like a fancy plimsoll to me...... :-D

Good morning one and all..........except Persie but, if you're looking in Persie, 'Hi' ~~~~~~~~~~~~

(At least we'll now be spared her singing!) :-P

Lovely breakfast Sylvs and as I now have to write down what I am eating, I will put 'porridge' - kindly provided by Sylvs in Canada...that'll make my trainer wonder what's going on!!

After some shenanigans on the bed last night (!) OH decided that the inflatable mattress lifter was not for him. It wasn't for me either! I really don't think I can sleep peacefully at this angle......\____

Loads of stuff to take to the charity shop today so must get moving......

Good morning all!

OOOhhhh - breakfast AND lunch today !! - Thank you Sylvia <3 <3

Mind you, I won't have time for lunch I don't think because we have grandson for the day and hubby has a hospital appointment around that time which he has to keep so I will be on my own with lovely grandson.

It wont be for long though so I am sure I will manage.

Anyway, I will have the Full English just now to 'stock up' for the day as we are going to collect him VERY soon.

See you all later,

We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day
Keep smiling through,
Just like you always do
Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away

So will you please say "Hello"
To the folks that I know
Tell them I won't be long
They'll be happy to know
That as you saw me go
I was singing this song

We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day

Persie pumpkin says hi

Good oh that you are staying Sylvs.. you are a prolific poster so there will be plenty of reading matter...

We were going to go to hospital to see Anya but no her mother is collecting her in a few hours and Anya is coming here to rest at Nanas

Evan was in for several days but his temp would not go down and he had got an infection. At least he felt assured that we would visit him.. he told the nurses that's okay if he stayed his Nana would be in to see him.

I had to log in today but got here.

tirrah... and toodle pip..

Sylvia,
I renewed in March and the message from GR says " your payment has been received and you are now a gold member of GR billed £34.95 for 6 months of Gold membership"

I joined as a gold member so maybe its like your subs only renewable to existing members?
shame about your cabin some people just spoil things for others :-(

Good news about your subs wish mine were that price

Cynthia my M-I-L also has to sleep upright but she got a bed with a split mattress so only her side moves :-)
glad your not planning on leaving :-D

Dea - yes being a gran is great :-D
Got GD tomorrow and my friend who is visiting from Australia is coming in the morning :-D

as far as I know the only thing I cant do with Gold is search the 1911 census but when I am due to renew in Sept will look at the options suggested because to be honest I dont search the records as so far all but one birth on my tree has been in England all others in Scotland.

I mostly use the boards and the search trees so maybe as suggested the standard membership would save me money thats if I get that option when renewing :-( :-(

When I got FTM I got 6 months free Ancestry which I used once b4 OH took ill I contacted them and after checking they said they would "freeze" my account till I was ready to use it again :-D

Very good of them I thought!

Persie have you gone yet?
