Good morning everyone :-D :-D

The sun is shining and 'my' house is going to be empty of visitors today too !!!!! - I will probably waste half my day 'missing' them ;-)

Anyway, for now, I will start with an Ulster Fry-up and then go for a quiet wander around.

Thank you Sylvia <3

Hi Gins

thank you for that.

I sometimes forget all the freedoms that we women have here are not found elsewhere. I've come to accept it as normal ...... when it is often abnormal!

Enjoy the peace Linda, it's lovely to have folk around but, sometimes, it's lovely when they go........ ;-)

Gins.....I don't like fish very much but it's recommended for me. How come, all the tasty fried food is bad for you and yet boring stuff is good?? :-S

Seems like it pelted it down in the night - didn't hear a thing :-D :-D

Thanks Jonesey. OH has been sleeping in his recliner for over 6 months now and finds it comfy as he has slept on his back in a semi prone position for over 20 years. Now and again, he finds it hard work to pull the lever - hence the thought of an electric one. We have a baby alarm so that he can call me if needed - but that has only happened once thank goodness.

Looks like we will be chair shopping then! They certainly don't come cheap do they.....arrrrggghhhh :-(

Don't feel guilty Dea......we all need to look after ourselves in order to look after others...... :-D <3

Oh boy....it's bedtime....and don't I know it.......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz night my friends. ~~~

Dea

YYYYYYYYYeeeehhhh !!!!!

I have a day off tomorrow !!!!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D

Grand-daughter is a little sad because Friday is usually her 'special time' with Mummy without little brother being there but the last time this happened she 'sobbed for England' - this time she just stuck her thumb in her mouth and tried to be brave !!

I feel so guilty but I have to 'pace myself' and if I have the chance of a day off I really ought to take it as there are MANY long weeks to come when I won't get the chance, particularly during the long school holidays !

How is everyone else doing ??

Cyn,

You certainly won't have the problems of fighting over the duvet if your OH takes to sleeping in a recliner. In my lounge I have an electricly operated armchair and two 3 seater settees that each have 2 recliner seats. One settee's recliners are electrically operated and the other has manually operated recliners.

To be truthful although I do nap often it is usually when stretched out full length, usually on my front, on a settee rather in the reclining armchair but that is just my preference, nothing to do with the armchair.

I have a friend who had a hip replacement 2 years ago and unfortunately has had infection problems ever since. Being unable to get upstairs without considerable pain and discomfort he took to sleeping in his reclining armchair. He says that he has no problem sleeping in it as he finds it as comfortable as his bed was.

The snag I suppose is the cost. I know that when I bought our suite 4 years ago it actually cost me more than I paid for my first house in 1969. A Lazy Boy electric reclining armchair will cost about £1,300.
