it was good!! I was just too lazy to wash some lettuce and make a proper salad.

The ideal is not to have any kind of bread except whole grain ..... the problem is the carbohydrate levels which are high and which is converted into sugar in your body..



BUT I love my sandwich for lunch!! I can't balance it with cheese or yoghurt which they suggest ......... so I'm trying other things.


Gins .......... I've always had hummus as a sort of dip ................ scooping it up on bits of pita bread. YUMMY!

Tomorrow I am having a hummus and grated carrot sarni with a few sultanta on for my lunch, I was going to have that today and forgot and since I have thought of nothing else :-(

Well, my eyes are closing!!! -Grand-children do wear me out nowadays, as much as I love them.

Yes its good to have old photos and always good to get more out of the blue!

Talking of which son has asked us to have GD for a few hours tomorrow so they can get out for bits and pieces :-D

Guess thats the decorating put on hold ;-)

That is a VERY strange diet Sylvia!! :-S

All those ingredients are most pleasant but they just don't fit together to make a pleasurable experience!!! :-0

Let's hope the tests say that you don't have to follow it !!!

What a lovely "present" from your Mum's cousin.


I have lots of early photos (1860s to ca 1920) of OH's family, but few recent ones.

I also have a small collection of my own family (paternal and maternal) from about 1900.

I'd love to have more!

now showered, dressed to go, and have finished my lunch ....

............... a cold roast lamb sandwich (1 slice of whole wheat bread), with 3 slices of tomato and 2 baby carrots. Plus 7 nuts (5 almonds, 1 cashew, and 1 pecan)


That's the diet suggestions!


It's more than I used to eat!!!!!!

My OH and I met up with My Mums cousin when we were visiting NY a couple of years ago and she gave me lots of pics then going back to my GGranda and GG one showed my grampa with his siblings and she even gave me a photo that my Maternal Grandparents had had taken on their honeymoon :-D

People say things happen in life for a reason. The Chrismas after my lovely Mum died her cousin sent her a christmas card giving her contact details and email address.

No one else in the family were interested in contacting her so it was left to me to break the sad news.

From that initial contact we have been working on the FT together (I took copies of all the stuff I had found with me when we met with her in NY) and it has been brilliant especially receiving back some of the photos that my Mum had sent her over the years.

Have I missed something - Is Jonesey in Vancouver ?????

AAAhhh - Now I remember ;-) :-D :-D - I was confused about what time it was there as I had sent someone over there an e-mail and didn't know when to expect a reply.

He was merely informing me of the day and time in Vancouver - He wasn't actually there Laines :-D

My mums cousin in USA emailed me some old photos which is great cos one of them is my Mum with her siblings and my Gran :-D

My favourite is my GGran with all her grandchildren including my Mum and siblings they are sitting on steps in a park and all the children are surrounding her and she is holding two who are only babes in arms. Its lovely :-D

Another one shows her with the senders Mum and siblings and I actually thought it was my Mums sister and children the likeness to my Aunt is uncanny she is going to send me more by post cant wait :-D

Sylvia hope all went well this afternoon and the test results came back ok
