Linda,

It doesn't look as though FBG has her email problems sorted yet. I know that she had 2 emails addressed to me in her outbox which were being blocked by the over large one. If she had managed to clear the blockage then those 2 emails she had tried to send to me should have been released.

Mind you her mind is probably on other things with the family wedding due this weekend.

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 21 Jun 2012 22:05

Sylvia - glad the test results weren't too bad :-)

Cynthia you are lucky to have lots of photos :-)

I have got quite a few from my Mums sister but mostly they go back to us as children or their weddings not got many from 1900's but am meeting up with a few of her cousins to have a look through what they have and we will copy each others :-D

having our GD for a few hours turned into all day and Mummy and Daddy coming for dinner :-D

Gee

Gee Report 21 Jun 2012 17:54

Cyns.....you might like to try:

Onken Fat Free Yoghurt (Mango & Apple is best) and some high fibre, wholegrain,Belvita breakfast biscuits to dip in

.....however, dont do what I just did ...ate half the 400g tub and four biscuits, 312 calories!

Havent started dinner yet as everyone is going to be late, might be a 'find it yourself' evening, which means, I can have a boiled egg and a slice of wholegrain bread, bringing me to my daily limit of 1300 calories

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 21 Jun 2012 17:50

Going to see my friend this afternoon. If it stops raining, I'll take her out for a coffee - if it doesn't, we'll clear out another cupboard!!

I absolutely love looking at old photos and am fortunate to have quite a lot but would always like more......so greedy... :-D

Hope you can sort your diet out Sylvs......we're having a ham salad sandwich for lunch followed by yoghurt. :-D

Today (June 20) is the longest day of the year.

Summer officially arrived late this afternoon.

Dawn arrived some time just after 4 am, and it won't get dark until after 9 pm.

It has actually been a lovely day .......... sunny, blue skies, and warm.

Unfortunately, summer is not going to last .................. clouds over late tomorrow (June 21), and rain on Friday and through the weekend :-(

June is heading to break records for cold and amount of rain .................. and there are threats of potential big flooding as the snows melt and more and more rain falls.

The result of the glucose tolerance test was that my levels are a little elevated, not enough to need medication.

A warning, he said!

I have to continue to adjust my diet, cutting out as much sugar as I can, and do more exercise. Try to lose some more weight (I've lost about 2½ lbs since last Thursday) ............... and have another fasting test in about 2 months.

He gave me the requisition for that test, so I can get it done before going to see the doctor.

He also wants me to do a 24 hour bp monitor test, to see whether I am maintaining my bp (with medication) at a reasonable level. He has not been happy that my bp is always higher in the office ........... others have been happy to say "white coat syndrome", but he wants it checked out.

Ah well, he finishes his residency on June 30, then it is "all change" ............. he and others leave and new residents start on July 1. I'll be assigned to someone else.
