Youre right there Dea, all the seasons blend into one :-S

So, do I wash the bedding or not?

Dea

Dea Report 28 Jun 2012 08:03

Good morning all!

I don't like eggy bread so I will have cheese and onion tarts, home-fried potatoes with garlic and bacon and extra bacon on top please.............Yuuummmm :-D :-D

Thank you Sylvia <3

Still 'muggy' here, even though it has rained :-(

I think the difference in the weather is that when we were children we did actually have 'seasons' - we always went on holiday for the first 2 weeks in July - It was Summer then and good weather was always guaranteed. There was a definite 'Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter' pattern but nowadays there is not !

We can go from winter weather to summer weather overnight now and hardly ever get settled into anything for more than a few days (except the cold and wet, of course ;-))

See you all later,

Dea Xxx

Good morning both!

Thanks Sylvs......eggy bread for me too please.... :-D

It feels quite humid here - as though it can't make it's mind up what to do... :-S

I think we all have childhood memories of long, hot summery days, but maybe we just saw them from a child's perspective - it must have rained at sometime I suppose..... :-S

C

feeling very lightheaded!!

and OH came to pick me up .................. then asked her if she could cut his. Which she did

so he is a "baldy" as well, and feeling very lightheaded :-D

He's amazed ............. this is a uni-sex hairdressers, specialising in cuts ............ she charges him less than his regular barber used to. AND does a much better job!

I've been trying for years to get him to try Anh, and he refused until about 4 months ago when he finally got fed-up with the locum at the barber's (and realising that the "locum" had now bought the business) ..... then he agreed to "give Anh a go".

still sunny ......... tho' some clouds are coming in!

Cyn .......... we'll see how this Hoover one works. He is doing the front room at the moment.

I'm sure the carpet cleaner companies would do a much better job, but most of them over here want you to move most, if not all, of the furniture beforehand ........... or pay an arm and a leg for them to do it.

Of course, that may be what we have to do next time the carpets need cleaning.

I'm think the one in this room, with the very bad marks might actually need replacing. Which creates a bit of a problem, because the carpet is fitted, and is the same throughout the house, just flowing from room to room. THAT means trying to decide on a colour for this room that doesn't look too bad against the hallway or the room right next door.

OH has started the "clean the house before the daughter comes to visit" routine

I'm not allowed to help, except by moving ornaments

He started in the study (where they will be sleeping), and which was actually the cleanest room in the house because we so rarely go in there.

But he wanted to try out our new carpet cleaner.

We've always cleaned our own carpets, but rented an industrial sized cleaner for the local supermarket. We realised that we can no longer clean the carpets in the whole house in 2 days ........... so decided about 6 weeks ago to buy our own.

We got a Hoover steam cleaner ............. and it seems to work really well :-D

The real test of it will be when it has to clean where OH always sits, and where his slippers have made horrible dark stains on the carpet. He is very good, usually changes into his slippers as soon as he gets in, but for some reason the last pair of slippers had soles that stained. :-|
