I see in our media that you now have the usual problem with the Olympics



............ banks of empty seats at events.



All due to "members of the Olympic Family" (sponsors, IOC, athletes and their families) not using free tickets that were assigned to them.


I note that Lord Coe said "it will not happen here"


That's what our head of the Local Committee also said back in 2010.

...... and it did!!



It is such a pity ....... when there are so many people who would love to see events.



No-one seems able to solve the problem



Maybe free tickets should NOT be given to sponsors or IOC members :-D

another sunny warm day



do hope this lasts ............ we are going up to the cabin on Wednesday. Staying in a hotel in the nearest town again, and going out to the cabin during the day.

OH hopes to be able to secure the broken door, and to do some painting, as well as tackle the (probably, undoubtedly) tall grass.

We're alos taking the trailer, and bringing back more stuff


Keeping fingers crossed that we've had no more invaders!

Ey up................not been in Sheffield, went to Wales at the last minute yesterday

Had a fab lunch with the family at St Davids Hotel, and I ending up crying, laughing with the little nephew and neice. When I had come round and could speak, I said sorry, I am nuts arent I and guess what, little Em said 'but you are lovely'

What about a Punch & Judy show, Dea? That's what I remember most about my childhood in England. Punch & Judy at the seaside. Am I dating myself? Do they still have Punch & Judy?

Have to get ready for tomorrow just now as 'The Seaside' is coming to my 'little town' !!

Hundreds of tons of 'sea-side' sand is being brought in and dumped in the Towm Square!

This will be surrounded by hundreds of deckchairs and flags and ice-cream vans and hot-dog stands and donkeys etc !!!

In fact - the 'seaside' is coming here to us !!!

Have to take the grand-children, so a busy day AGAIN !!!
