On my laptop on keys f2 and f3 the symbols to adjust the screen brightness look like "suns" each laptop may be different I'm no expert ;-)

Can one you guys send me a PM as I want to see if I get notification in one way or another

It's O.K. Linds - I found a little button on the side of my monitor and could adjust from there but it just made everything dark and dingey on all the sites so I have abandoned that idea ;-)

Not on much today though as grand-daughter is here - hopefully GR might sort it eventually .

Dea just had a look around on my laptop have you tried clicking on the start button and looking for "help and support" on your laptop?

If you go into this you should find where to assk how to adjust brightness.

I didnt know about the keys to adjust the brightness till I "googled" "how do I adjust the brightness on my HP laptop"

From memory I then just went to their help site and got the answer.

is there any button on your keyboard which looks like a sun?

Thank you Linds but mine don't have the 'sun's under them. I have got the f3 and f2 but they don't ajust the brightness - f3 gives you another search bar and I don't know what f2 does ???

I think it might make the print smaller as since I pressed them I think it has gone smaller ???

I will have to have a fiddle and see if I can put it back to where it was :-D :-D

On my keyboard if you look at top row of keys on left hand side its keys marked f2 and f3

f2 looks like a small sun and f3 looks like a bigger sun one increases brightness and the other decreases brightness just give it a couple of taps till you get it to the setting you want.

Then if you want to increase the brightness just do the same with the other button. :-D :-D :-D

Gosh....I needed that porridge Dea.......I was up at 7am and haven't stopped since!

Dusted, hoovered, mopped, beds made, windows cleaned etc ........have now got a few minutes sit down before I tackle some ironing...... :-D :-D

Good morning all !!

'Continental' only again today, I am afraid - 'busy busy' :-(

Selection of cereals, fruits and yoghurts.

Platters of various hams and cheeses,

Warm crusty bread rolls, crackers,

Toast and sweet or savoury spreads.

Croissants and danish pastries.

Tea, coffee, juices.

I did manage to do some porridge for Cynths :-)

Dea I agree it is a bit bright I just use the brightness key on keyboard a couple of taps and viola :-D :-D :-D

Well, I am much happier now I have my smileys back (thanks to Ginns) but I do still have a problem with the brightness !!

I have to agree with Stray on Chat.......it makes me larf how so many people complained last time about all the changes....what were they paying for? .....they're going to leave......etc.etc. They're still here and complaining again.......sheeesh.
