Hi everyone

another sunny day ..................... the nights are still hot for sleeping 'cos it takes so long to cool down inside.

OH is still sleeping in the family room in the basement, while I have the bed upstairs all to myself.

I love the Ancestry green on the home page images.....so calm

So, when I get to redo the sitting room....instead of creams, a mixture me thinks

Perhaps, as they can't see the 'send messages' button Cynths, the newbies might just get the hang of answering on the thread instead of sending those annoying pm's which we then have to transfer onto the thread for them ;-) :-D

It's not needed anyway as you would normally just click on the person's name to send them a message.

That's sad indeed Gins. Poor girl, losing both parents so close together.

Remind me not to say that my day shouldn't be pressured............... :-S

Re our avatars, I'm not too bothered by the missing post count, although it is helpful to suss out if a member is a newbie.........it's the missing Send Message bit which won't help new folk. Doubt they will all think to hover their cursors over the avatars..............

LK, when my mum lived with us, she had her room in cream and green because it was restful.

No messaging done yet........sigh.......off I go.........sigh

Just caught up on the thread I mentioned above and I think we may have moved away from Scotland now but think that 'may' need checking??

Would be grateful if you could all take a look though and see if you can help. - Grandson won't be letting me do very much on it today !

Thanks,

I am glad it went well for OH Cyn.

Good to distract him.

Mine started round 3 yesterday and it was a bit rougher this time.

My avatars are steady this morning and posts only come up when I hover.

What they really need to do is make the borders a little darker and bolder and shade

the heading of each post to make them separate them visually so you can tell when

one ends and the other begins. I would also like the big space on the sides a

peppermint green. Green is the most comfortable colour for the eyes. I like the black

writing on a white background as it gives better contrast but the borders would tone

it down.

Porridge with chopped up dates, bananas....thank you Syl

Anyone got problems loading Ancestry this morning, I keep getting the Oops message but I am online here :-S

Dea

Dea Report 10 Aug 2012 08:17

Linds - If you are there, can you help at all on this one please?

I know there is someone on here who goes to Edinborough GRO and offers to do look-ups from time to time but I can't remember who it is ?

I think you go there also? or perhaps I haven't remembered that correctly?

Anyway, can you advise please as it is quite urgent? - it relates to this thread:

Good morning all !

The sun seems to be shining , yet again - that's strange !! :-S :-D

Never mind, the rain is coming back by the weekend so we will have our 'usual' summer again !! ;-) :-(

I will make myself some tomato toast with a rub of garlic I think, then I would like the full english please.

Thank you Sylvia <3

Cynthia Report 9 Aug 2012 20:39

Great news Linda.............pass the nibbles please... :-D :-D <3

Sylvs, I was really pleased with him this morning because I had visions of him going into 'freeze' mode in the middle of the surgery and he would have been SO embarrassed. Anyway, he took a book with him and was soon immersed in it whilst I sat with the kindle. It was quite interesting listening to the patients coming in and describing their symptoms to the receptionist........ :-S :-S :-S
