You need to sort it out so you can sleep with OH

My back and hips are beginning to feel less painful ................ the weather seems to be stabilising, with not so many atmospheric changes.

OH is still sleeping in the basement, on a hide-a-bed (do you call it a sofa bed?), as it is so much cooler down there. I can't sleep on that mattress though ........ so I sleep upstairs, with 2 fans going!

We're both sleeping very well :-D :-D :-D :-D

I got some lovely flowers this morning ......... OH slipped out without me knowing, and bought 3 large bunches of freesias (8-10 stems per bunch) :-D :-D

It is our 45th anniversary tomorrow, and OH used to try to get the flowers that I had in my wedding bouquet. They were red roses, white freesias, and lily-of-the-valley.

Well, lily-of-the-valley never have been available in August over here, so he used to buy the roses, and freesias when he could. But we discovered that red roses don't, or didn't, last very long ....................... so now I get freesias.

The bunches this year were white, red and yellow .................... he said the store (actually a wholesaler that he was recommended to) only had 1 bunch of white ones ............ because they are used so much in wedding bouquets :-D

We're going out to dinner tomorrow night to our favourite but expensive restaurant ............. and our joint present will be the trip to Churchill to see the polar bears, which has had to be delayed until next year.

Dea Report 11 Aug 2012 09:00

WOW - Sylvia, you really have outdone yourself today!!

I will HAVE to stick to a light breakfast if I am to tackle that brunch !!! :-0 :-0 :-0

So, just one slice of tomato toast for me and a cup of tea please and I will do my best to sample a little of everything later (though, even I can't get through all that !) ;-)

I am late starting as well as I seem to have had a little lie-in again - I think that is is lack of grandchildren that does it !! ;-)

See you all later when that lovely brunch arrives.

Dea Xxx

P.S. - Thanks for the pm Linds - have replied.

Goodness! Am I first here this morning? Thanks Sylvs.......toast will be fine but the smells of cooking coming from your kitchen are very tantalising :-D

Looks as though it could be another warm day here - I have to admit that, even though the nights are quite close, it hasn't stopped me sleeping. Probably too cream crackered to do much else!!! I do find the school holidays rather wearing as I try to juggle keeping OH and daughter on the go. :-S

Gins, I remember having a spare bedroom painted in pale green once - with pink and green bedding. It was quite nice and, as you say, seemed a very calm room.
