When asked how old she was my old mom always used to say, "I'm as old as my tongue and a little bit older than my teeth."

Had a super dinner ...... feeling rather full now!!
The atmosphere was very French bistro ..................... imagine very high ceilinged (as in an old Paris building), wainscoting, dark red- purple paint above. Smallish tables ( for 2 or 4), marble topped, and 2 rows down a long room ............ one row against each wall.
We were seated close to the window, and could see out onto one of the busy streets of Vancouver ......... it's also art gallery row (about 15 or 16 art galleries selling art in less than a kilometre!), plus a live theatre, etc etc So lots of people passing by.
The food was good ....... prices about comparable with our very favourite restaurant ....... so not cheap!!
Our favourite restaurant is still tops with us.
I had duck breast (again!), and OH had a lamb rack.
Very friendly service ..........we don't do stuffy over here!!
Fun, enjoyed it, may go back again.
Oh yes ................. as we got to the place, OH said that was the name he'd half heard ...... but as he had no idea where it was, it meant nothing to him
I didn't raise the matter of the phone call with them.

Oh dear Sylvs.......whatever the outcome of the phone call, I hope you both have a very pleasant evening. Happy Birthday to your OH.... <3
Hope you get a better night's sleep........
Gins.....It's all because....the lady loves Milk Tray!
;-) ;-) ;-)
Finally got some curtains today, but for the bedroom not the lounge or dining room ....... sigh. Also bought myself a new double quilt. As I am now on my ownsome, I though I may need a plumper one to keep me warm without OH :-(
He'll be fine - he's got a new single quilt in the other room....:-D
Away to my little cave I go.....~~~~~~

while you two are looking for your lost relatives ..........
please keep an eye out for my lost one
John Cadd b. 1720 (or possibly 1729), possibly in Edgecot, Buckinghamshire
First record of him is marrying Katherine Mason, 14 Dec 1741, Edgecot (that would make him 12 years old if born in 1729)
He died Feb 1800, and was buried 22 Feb 1800, Hillesden, Buckinghamshire.
Katherine was baptised 7 July 1718, Edgecot, and died 20 Dec 1797 (or possibly 1799) in Hillesden.
Katherine's family has been traced back to a marriage in 1562, in Edgecot
I think John was dropped from that alien spaceship that has been circling the earth for centuries :-D :-D
