I usually use 'jif' (it is now called 'Cif' because of the EU) - That is very good for skirting boards and worktops etc but it was sadly lacking on the Grill pan because I had let it get too bad !

Excellent Dea.........it's the cheapest and the best cleaner Ive every come accross

You can use it on your sink, basins, shower screen and Ive even used it on the skirting boards, to get tough 'kick' marks off

Glad you like it

:-D

Just used your 'astonish' stuff on my grill pan Ginns - I have to admit that it was in an 'evil' state !!

I was very impressed - If I hadn't been so tired, I would have got every speck off (without any really heavy scrubbing) !

I will have another go at it, and my ovens, next week and get it to sparkle !

Dea Xxx ;-)

I was about to take the car out, but while brushing it down, a 4x4 came skidding up the road

Me and the neigbours, had to push him, after he was within an inch of hitting a parked car

Think, I'll walk to the shop!

We had about 5 inches of snow yesterday but it can stay exactly where it is !!!! - I am not going out 'shovelling' in the cold ;-) :-(

We didn't get any more overnight but I believe we will have more during today :-(

Grandchildren will be thrilled - they will be out there sledging and making snow angels :-D

I think a large snowman with a carrot for a nose will also be called for :-)

I wore my shoes to go to the airport yesterday ............. it was the first time for almost a week that I had tried anything other than sandals.

They were OK when I put them on, and I thought it would be OK for an hour.

Nope

Another blasted toe joint is red and inflamed this morning :-(

so I'm back to sandals, and difficulty walking.

Gee

Gee Report 18 Jan 2013 16:31

Ive just been clearning the drive, not sure why as it is still snowing. I'll keep it under control, sweep and salt every few hours

FYI the salt they sell at Tesco, is amazing. Its kept the snow on melt down most of the day and I put it on last night

Cynthia :-P

LK it must have been scary for anyone in the area. The poor pilot was a helicopter hero, saving lives by air ambulance..seems so unfair.

Thoughts for his family and friends

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 18 Jan 2013 14:37

Oooh LK....it must have been awful for those folk who live near the crash site - things could have been so much worse. :-(

We aren't going out today because of the white stuff. Wish it would go....... :-(

Glad you enjoyed the sausages Dea - they are rather special.

Farmyard indeed!!! You are such a romantic Gins...... :-P

Ahh day off today.

I was going to do to the doctors today but white stuff outside.
I think I will give it a miss.
We were in the area of the helicopter crash the evening before.
Very high population density.
Many old people.
It must have been very scary.

Mornin all~~~~

Breakfast looks like a farm yard so I think I'll just have a croissant

Have you seen this news item, it looks like a naan bread

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/novice-unearths-huge-gold-nugget-down-under-072625717.html

........albeit a very expensive naan bread!
