I am not an ice cream person, but when in Italy!

We went into an ice cream parlour, watched them make it, it was OUT OF THIS WORLD...the first time I have ever finished a whole ice cream cone

As for pizza....New York, beats Italy

Went to an ice cream parlour this afternoon.....it's amazing how many people want ice cream in this weather.....the place was packed!

Found several excellent condition board books in the charity shops. A wipe with disinfectant and they will be fine. :-D

Gins, I had 4 pancakes at lunch time.....they were absolutely delish.........

:-D :-D :-D :-D

It's amazing the lengths some of our ancestors went to, to secure and keep employment. The walking some of them must have done was incredible.

Just waiting for my pancakes to be served.........yummmmmy

Then off to pick up daughter.....ice cream parlour and then charity shop hunting for some board books to pop into the pre-schooler's bags at church. They are easy to wipe down and keep clean.

Of course 1911 was long before all sorts of benefits were conceived.

On the 1911 Irish Census my my GGF & GGM appear.
Francis & Rosanna Irvine
He is shown as a labourer aged 72....comendable

At the bottom, because he could not write his wife signed for him to which he added his mark,a diagonal cross.

I find that quite humbling in a generation where many people half his age can read and write, but have no intention of working.
