My daughter was born on March 24 ........... but over here, not the UK


I was in hospital for 10 days .................. it was sunny almost every day


It was still sunny and very warm when we got home ...................... and I was putting her in the pram in the front garden with just a single blanket and coverlet. I would then leave her there for a couple of hours.



Mind you, Vancouver often does have a warm spell in March and / or early in April.

It was really warm and lasted about a week.

Good 'eavens......it's almost 2pm and I haven't shown my face yet...... :-(


Have hoovered and dusted the house from top to bottom and been to the supermarket. Am now looking forward to an afternoon of notalot!!! :-D


We keep getting flurries of the dratted white stuff but it isn't sticking thank goodness..

My youngest sons Birthday today. When he was born we had an Indian summer two days after I got home I was out in my summer clothes pushing the pram :-|

On the news last night the weather lady informed us that last year the temp was 23c this year 3c. A year ago we had our GD "doon the coast" playing on the beach. This year snow :-|

the fire is made up, and should be roaring away by the time you arrive for breakfast!!



Porridge ............... bubbling away on the hob. Brown sugar, Golden syrup, dates, and cream (if wanted) are on the side

Selection of cold cereals

Full English

2 eggs any style, 2 English-style pancakes, 2 slices bacon, 1 slice of ham, toast

Scrambled eggs on toast, with side orders of bacon, sausage patties, baked beans, grilled tomatoes if desired

asparagus and mushroom or tomato and bacon omelette

In the warmers ................

bacon, ham, turkey sausage, poached eggs, grilled mushrooms, baked tomatoes, baked beans, home-fried potatoes with garlic and bacon


Toast (selection of freshly baked breads)
Croissants
Barm cakes
hot cinnamon rolls


selection of home-made jams and jellies, marmite, peanut butter, nut butter


Tea, Coffee, Juices

As everyone has said the weeks will pass it is a hard regime but lean on us when you need to <3

Ray found on his worse days that sitting in front of puter was all he could do.
