Good morning all... :-D

Thank you for breakfast Sylvs.....just managed to get here on time before Dea snaffled all the bacon...... ;-)

We swopped our routine with OH med's round this morning so it made me a bit late......

Sounds as though Gins had a brilliant night.............. :-D

Funny about the burgers Linds.....just now and then we get the urge to go to the big M. Don't ask me why...... :-S

Dea, re that d/c. The deceased was a widow and had been married to OH's uncle of whom we know zilch.

The reason I send for the d/c was to find out who the informant was - to see if they had had any children.

I have their birth certificates - his Liverpool 1913. Hers Scotland 1922. Their marriage (his 2nd) Tynemouth 1960 and their death certificates, his Tynemouth 1970 and hers Scotland 1987.

Have tried really hard to find his 1st marriage but there are too many with the same name.

'tis costing me a fortune in certs and OH isn't even interested :-| :-| :-|

I'm going to try phoning the registry office in Scotland to see if they have any printed records with the details on.

Meanwhile, it's a beautiful day and I must go and hang some washing out......~~~

That signature is more like a mathematical equation :-0

Good morning all :-)

The sun is shining and the birds are singing! - It looks like a proper spring morning, if a little cold :-)

I am sitting munching at my lovely bacon buttie - thank you Sylvs <3

Ginns - Glad you had such a wonderful evening - soungs like fun ;-) ;-) :-D

You too Linds - It's nice to just pop out for a meal when you feel like it :-)

Cynths - there is absolutely no way that you will get a name from that cert - he hasn't signed a name, just a 'token signature' :-( :-(

All we do know from it is that he was her son - do you have any signatures of her son's on any other document which you might compare it to ??

It that 'his address' given on there? - I can't see the date of death but is it around any census year that you can look at?

Mornin all~~~~~

Had a brilliant evening. Went out to a local pub, had a couple of drinks and played pool (we used to do that when we were dating)

Best of three.........I WON, I WON, I WON, I WON! JB is a very good pool player and very competitive, I used to play for a pool team back in the 90s when I lived in Kent

I WON :-D :-D :-D

Got a chinese on the walk back home, sat and picked at all sorts of little dishes.
Opened a bottle of wine and sat at the 'thinking/talking' door until about 11pm.........you can guess the rest ;-)

Linds, dont blame me for your galavanting!

I'm sorry I keep missing making breakfast

what happens is that I get so fed up with the lack of new threads wanting help on here over night, and the slooooooooooooowness of the site, that I go and do other things, like working on my own tree.

Then I get tired, and go to bed, having forgotten to come back to GR.

I'll try to be better .................... but you're all doing a great job of pinch hitting for me, especially Dea and Cyn :-D :-D :-D
