Thank you for the lovely breakfast Ginns - you do cook excellent mushrooms and tomatoes <3 - I will have them on toast while my bacon and sausages are cooking ;-) :-D - I will cook some extra in case anyone else wants them.

Will they bring you lots of prezzies as it is the last day or does that not happen when they get older?

Been up far too long

Im not having breakfast as I am having a picnic with my students today, its the last day of college :-(

Hello all (if anyone's around)

Just seeing if I can sneak a post in without the error message getting me .....

I love anything dried in the fresh air Linds....... :-D


Have had a visitor and been busy cleaning out kitchen drawers.....so crumby!!!


Now it's bed time so night night all......~~~~

Today was food shopping day

Get to shopping centre and they have a mini zoo with tarantula, snake tortoise etc for the kids to hold.

Knowing my son was off today I sent him a text to bring O to hold the animals and (with tongue firmly in cheek cos he is a scaredy cat) said he could hold the tarantula ;-)

He brings O up we finish shopping and get to the stand just as they have left :-(

OH tells son we will drop her off. On way back to car with trolley load and O OH suddenly remembers we have my car - no child seat.

He has to go back and swap cars so we can drop her off :-D :-D

On the bright side got all bedding washed and back on bed :-D

I love bedding that has been dried outside :-D :-D

Coal, in Yorkshire.....never, surely ;-)

Wouls say it was "northern delicacy " but my Dad was a yorkshire coal miner ...

And I was born up "norf"

Dad used to make the best porridge and I would have bread and butter with it and make sarnis.........he used to cringe but they were so nice

Quite fancy that for dinner but not sure JB would be up for it

Gins, everyone got a medal last night.........of some sort of other :-S


Personally, I don't agree with it because children aren't learning that life can be tough at times. I do wonder how some of them will face future problems if they are never allowed to be disappointed. :-S


In fact, like most people I know, I consider H & S to have gone over the top. :-(


Whilst out walking in the woodland with OH the other day, we saw several fallen/lopped trees which looked brilliant for children to play on. I said to OH that sadly, I doubt if they would be allowed to play on such things anymore, and there's us, who would, if we but could, just love to be able to clamber around and have fun :-D :-D


Walk. Housework. Lunch with friend. ~~~~~~~~

Now then, the rest of the breakfast is on it's way.

It took me SO long to manage to get Ginn's breckie on here that our's is now well on it's way:

Cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit.

Porridge.

Lots of toast and various sweet and savoury spreads.

Platters of fresh hams and cheeses - crackers, hot bread rolls.

Sausages, bacon, fried bread, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans...

Eggs will be cooked to order.

We were on GD's duty today until about 7pm. Then I was on phone to cousin in NYC and we had visitors. Have just caught up over on the dark side and popped in to say hello.

Am off to bed am shattered
