Good morning all :-)

Not sure if Sylvs is going breakfast today so just to keep you going I have brought two lovely home-made Quiches........... One is Asparagus and the other is bacon and cheese. Mushrooms and tomatoes are also on the go !

I will put some extra bacon on to go with them and there are plenty of croissants and danish pastries for those who prefer.

Dea ................ glad to hear that the surgeon was able to help.

Hope the drugs begin to work soon, and you are more comfortable


Gins .................... not a true friend if she had forgotten about your sis and brother so soon. TBH ................ you're probably better off without her!


Jonesey .................. we have electric fans for almost every room of the house, but especially in the bedrooms. It makes life bearable.



Cyn and Linda ...................... IF I have to iron in hot weather, I move the ironing board into the bedroom, and place it in front of the fan :-D


Renes ..... have a super trip back to Spain.

Gins.........I iron at the back of the house dear, NOT in the front garden!!! I am also in a little garden house which offers complete privacy......... :-D


As for your friend......as Linds says, she is probably so used to you being there that her own problems drove yours completely out of her head. Sounds as though she is a bit wrapped up in herself and she may now be feeling a bit guilty.

I know how you feel though.......and it ain't easy!


My OH has just sat and watched It's a Bug's Life.................sheeeeeeeesh.

You need a couple of air conditioners!!

I have two portable units - one upstairs and one downstairs. They keep the whole house cool!

They were not cheap and I don't use them very often BUT, when I do, they are worth their weight in gold !! ;-) :-D :-D

Well - I'm back folks :-) :-)

My lovely surgeon says that I have 'nasty' Internal radiation burns from the treatments I have been having so he has given me LOTS of strong drugs which might take a while to work but we should get things under control.

Hi Cyn,

I am OK, thank you for enquiring. The high temperature at night has meant that I have had difficulty getting to sleep at night and as a consequence of that I've had difficulty staying awake during the day. As a result I haven't been on the computer as much as normal during the past few days.

Warm sunny weather is supposed to perk us all up but reading some of the posts it appears to be having the opposite effect on some of us. To those currently feeling less than 100%, just hang on a bit. Remember this is Britain where a whole week of sunshine is almost unheard of, it will probably be snowing on Wednesday when the 1st Ashes cricket test match begins. :-D

I have an urgent referral to the physio......tendonitis :-(

Ive had it for months but cant ignore it any longer, its buddy painful. Anyhow, doc has given me some drugs to be going on with. Appointment next week
