Very overcast here, but it is supposed to be warm later on.


I'll put the kettle on and start some bacon off for our Dea.


Gins.........I've some some 'eggy bread' just for you. Thought you may need a little something to build you up a bit. :-D


Glad your OH worked wonders with the carpet Sylvs......and hope you soon get some enquiries re your cabin. It does look very attractive I must admit.

The very hot weather is due to return in a couple of days!

OH doesn't believe in watering the garden ................ neither the grass nor the veggies. But he's having to give the veggies a little bit at the moment!


OH was digging in the veggie patch a couple of days ago, and found a large number of potatoes that he had missed finding last year.

We shall find out if potatoes can be over-wintered in the ground!!

He weighted them earlier today ...................... we have 3½ lbs of white potatoes, and about 1 lb of blues :-D


Gins ............... I lifted my coffee cup to J ((((hugs))))



Cyn ............... I do not wish to think about what those marks are likely to be!!!


Actually, I went downtown today, the first time for several weeks .................. and OH cleaned the 2 areas while I was out, using a little hand "spot cleaner" that we have. The 2 areas look good! Plus ..................... they're not standing out against the rest of the carpet because it was all cleaned so recently!!


The cabin is now being listed on what we call the Multiple Listing ............... that means every realtor in the country who subscribes to Multiple Listing can see it, and hopefully that will widen the potential market.

Hi everyone.........a very long but good day.... :-D


Everything went smoothly, except for the fact that the route I normally take to the cathedral has changed - as has the landscape.... :-S So much demolition work followed by new buildings so I got a bit lost but soon got my bearings again.


Very nice lunch at the cathedral. The caterers have changed and it's a bit 'upmarket' now.....everything is presented in an arty way if you know what I mean.

The service went well and I saw many old friends. May put a picture on the other side later.....depends when daughter emails it to me and if I like it!!!


Hope everything went well with Gins today.......

the amrks on the carpet look like "drips", as though something was spilled ......... but I cannot think what. There are 20 or 30 in a small area in one place, and about 10 or so in a a "crescent-moon shape in the hallway.

Both areas are concentrated ........... so not drips from a glass as you walked along.

Hi everyone,

yes for those that have not had a laugh yet picture over there ;-)

Yes Dea you are correct sorer and bruised today but the painkillers worked and I did manage to get a sleep last night. (OH gave up and moved next door cos he kept moving about just as I was getting comfy)

thank you all for your hugs at least it got me out of doing the food shop OH went and is now cooking dinner and he bought me a small box of chocolates.

forgot to say that yesterday when I fell he went and got me an ice lolly to help stop the bleeding/swelling :-D

Oh my days.....what a buddy day!

Was teaching at one college and got a call to ask if I could attend a meeting at another college, they wanted my expertise, apparently, so finished early and left.

When I got there and listened to the input, I could see why they called on me! Why do some lecturers want it handed on a plate. There seems to be a lack of 'initiative and flexibility' being used in the classroom.

Anyway, said my bit and left. It's nice to be wanted
