Good morning all,

Just munching my way through that lovely breakfast......... yuuuummm !

Thank you Sylvia - Lunch looks delicious too <3

Grandchildren are returning from holiday today - I have SO missed them!

It was very nice to have a break from looking after them but I can't wait to see them again ;-)

I think they get back sometime around lunchtime so I will give them a ring early afternoon and see if we can go round for a short visit (I keep thinking that maybe I should let them all 'settle back' for the rest of the day but I don't think I can wait.............

See you all later,

Dea x

daughter has one of the smaller "giant" pushchair, which takes up almost all the room in the car trunk, and is also heavy and awkward to lift in and out of there.

So she said that she was going to look for a very light one ..... something similar to the Umbroller that we used for her in the 1970s, and which went all over the world with us, even up mountains :-D

Asked her when we got ovr there the other week "have you found one?"

Yep, says she ........................... but the handles are too low for M to push the stroller. He loves to do that, so it was no go in finding a lighter one!

I just wonder what is going to happen next year .......... they're planning on coming here during the summer :-S

Second hand pushchair had to be bought today as THE pushchair wouldnt fit in my little car...Child carseat is a little tight for nearly 3 yr old who will be 4 next month so booster seat had to be bought today as well....Motorworld did them in local town...£10 for a piece of polystyrene covered in fabric...!

At least pushchair can stay here until no more babies arrive...£20 Immaculate and folds down lovely and is really light not like those great big heavy things everyone seems to have now...

Going to bed before 3 yr old gets up as he seems to only need 6 hours or so and was up at 5.30am this morn and still screaming he WAS NOT tired at 9.30pm...Arggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 6 Aug 2011 22:24

Had a short trip to Ikea ..... really didn't spend a lot of time there! Most unusual!

I wanted a fabric roller blind for the kitchen window. They ddin't have a size that was anywhere near what we need. And any alterations (which they say can be "easily done" were so huge that it wasn't worth considering!

So, I bought 2 panels of curtaining material. Have to shorten them ....... they don't seem to offer any short curtains for soem reason ................ but I think they'll look good

and less than $25 for the pair! That's ca £10 or £11

Is that Ronnie Corbett thing any good? Daughter thought it might be. At least it would have been funnier than watching discussions on mummified bodies.

"The hair is spectacular".....yuk........I'm eating prawn cocktail Pringles if they don't mind.
