Hactually R.C.'s can now be cremated but the ashes are to be interred. Hope it all goes as well as can be expected Dea.

Night Gins......~~~~~

I just KNEW Dea's comment about her matching knickers and mini-skirt would bring R. and Jonesey back.

The are SO predictable :-D

Yes Lainie.....where IS ja...x? Mind you, she may be busy behind the scenes. She's a really good researcher. Puts me to shame she does....sob.

A Priest or a Nun....they can be fun you know Dea

They will come meet you and chat about his life and such and remark on such during the service

And he will wish to be in the ground....not cremated

As a kid, I used to go to the Catholic preschool and the Catholic 'helper' who looked after me ....

...she would always let my skirts down on the hem....mom went mad but it still went on (mom was not Catholic)

Yep Dea. He speeded up when he should have out being busy!!

Love the chincough scenario!

There were so many funny old sayings - especially in Lancashire dialect.

Dea

I have to say that when I wore mini skirts, I always wore matching knickers - did any of you do the same?? (Just to be polite, you understand) ;-)

It's an old fashioned thing Ginns - Chincough = whooping cough.

My knees were bare and so open to the cold, leading to a chill, leading to whooping cough !!

Good old dad and grand-dad!! - at least they cared !!
