Gins....how can you wash somethat isn't.....er....um....er.......oops. ;-)

Dea, I just had it in my mind that it was today......what a plank I am. Of course I will think of you - anytime...... :-D

Nope, my oven is not fixed yet and am waiting for a phone call from gas man. I have been using the grill, pressure cooker and slow cooker.....as well as going out for one meal and one takeaway. Not bad really.

When I resort to cooking over an open fire - then I'll be really worried!

Dea Report 17 Aug 2011 08:05

It's not today Cynths - I am still 'sorting' it. - It will be during next week.

I don't mind you thinking of me though <3

Going to have a quiet day today - no little grandchildren 'till Friday !

Have you not had that oven fixed yet ??? You must be spending a fortune on take-aways :-D

You need a lovely new one like mine!

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 17 Aug 2011 07:44

Morning!

I can offer the basics.......cereals, bacon, eggs, toast etc. May even have some crumpets in the freezer...joy of joys!

Coffee and tea is not a problem either. Some juice in the fridge.

Help yourselves.

Dea is right Grace, I didn't want to bore all the others about autism as they have heard it so many times before from me.....mind you, hopefully, they have gained a bit of insight into the condition on the way ;-)

My brain ain't been washed Gins.......it's just that I have.....er....some experience in such things. :-D

Thinking of you today Dea <3

Hope the man can fix my oven today.......sigh.....

Thought we would 'fend for ourselves' today Ginns, I haven't got much in.

We will appreciate Sylvia much more on her return if we have 'missed out' :-D

Dea, youre up and without breakfast!

Grace, our Cyns will do the boring bit ;-)

Dea

Dea Report 17 Aug 2011 06:52

You weren't boring us in any way Grace.

I think Cynthia meant that 'she' might bore us by putting too much detailed info on here which is more relevant to the person actually needing the help and advice (not that she would though - whatever she has to say on that subject is always very knowledgeable and interesting !!!).

One of the nicest things about this thread is that we can all talk about anything we want to and, because we are all such friends, it is always of interest.

Hope they 'get to grip' with their situation and learn to enjoy the good things and not just see the bad.

Cyns...there is Catholic and there is Catholicism... if you get what I mean

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 16 Aug 2011 21:12

I know that those in difficult circumstances can get help with the cost of a funeral as Fans said.

I also think that the person who books the funeral.....pays for it.

I am aware that many funerals are booked with undertakers but are not paid for........leaving the undertakers out of pocket. Some probably insist on money 'up front' because of this.

I know what you meant about marriage Dea and quite agree with you. Hope it all goes well tomorrow Dea. Will be thinking about you. <3

Gins.....don't know what your dad's views were but I was simply stating the official RC strictures.

Bon Voyage Syvls ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Have to go to bed now but my thoughts are with all those who are going through this without the 'funds' to do it !!!

Of course you must do what you feel is right Dea.....Everyone has different opinions and everyone is entitled to them.....

Yes,people do get into debt with it.....

My last husband lost both his parents in the space of 6 weeks back in 2000.....£6000 pounds to cremate both in London, one RC and one Cof E.....

We finished paying it,but it took a while....

It was what HE wanted......They were divorced and mum went first and dad was so ill we didnt even tell him his exwife had died suddenly...

And we were separated as well, but they were nice people, shame about himself though... :-S

Dea

Dea Report 16 Aug 2011 20:51

I won't 'start you off ' then Fans !!

I will just get on with what I feel is right but I DO really worry abut those who cannot afford to do it !!

Are they geting into debt for such an event ??

SO very sad !!!
