Soap's okay but I do like some subtle aftershave.....not reeking of course...just....subtle ;-)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholders Fans..........Jonesey is a lovely man..........on the inside!

Dea Report 11 Sep 2011 16:32

No 'after shave' ever for 'my man' !!

As Fans says - Imperial Leather soap ! - we have used it for almost 60 years !!

My mum used to work at the Cussons Soap Factory and so I got it for free until she died some 15 years ago and I still buy it now !!

Far better than all the 'perfumed thingies' !!

I agree on all those things but one for the "ripened"man Cyn....
Aftershave...Yuk...not liking it...specially if BO killer of a dif flavour is used as well.. :-)

Good old smell of some nice Imperial Leather soap is just the ticket.

But most important he must be handsome as well so Mr Jones stands no chance there does he?

Such a sad thing to happen Fans and very hard to recover from too. A difficulty time of the year indeed.

Jonesey......the more mature male? Hmm.. A proper shave - no patches missed. A good neck trim - hate neck hairs. No 'man' jewellery of any sort (and keep the shirt buttoned quite high thank you). Short, clean nails and, of course, an attractive and alluring aftershave ! :-D ;-)

I remember exactly where I was on 9/11 and I also find it a difficult time as just a week later I lost my much loved stepson whom I had known since he was a twinkle in his fathers eye.
He suddenly died age 16 of a heart attack at 8.30am one morning.
He had been fit and well all his life, just started college to become a carpenter and had been chopping logs the night before and no hint of trouble.

We had lost his mum(one of my best friends) 2 years before to breast cancer and I had become his "other mum"after much "Kevin"behaviour and plenty of grief.

10 years on and he would now be 26.

So this time of year is never good in my house. But life must go on and I remember all those poor souls in USA and globally that lost loved ones at this time and mourn what could have been with them.

You dont need to worry Jonesey...........you aint got any hair to dye

But you could try using a lighter shade of foundation and stop walking around looking like David Dickinson :-D

Jonesey

Jonesey Report 11 Sep 2011 08:19

Not that I personally need any beauty tips Cyn but I am curious to hear what you suggest for the more mature male.

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 11 Sep 2011 08:15

I gave up wearing foundation yonks ago.......I dislike seeing women who are over 60 with heavy make up on.......some of the young ones I see could do with a lesson on how to apply the stuff too. The line round the ears and under the chin gives the game away.

Also don't like it when older women dye their hair darker than what it was to start with - it's very ageing. They need to go a shade lighter really.

Here endeth the beauty tips. Now for the men!

Where's R these days?

Meant to say that those silly adverts on the Success board are continuing to appear. They are being RR'd and quite a few were removed yesterday but more have appeared this morning.

Wonder why GR have stopped vetting what goes onto that board? Anyone could post any old rubbish..

like they do on here

:-D :-D :-D :-D

Yes Jonesey, a very special anniversary today. It's one of those where you can remember where you were and what you were doing at the time.
Let's hope and pray that we never see the like again.

Thank you for breakfast Sylvs.....I'm especially looking forward to the creme brulee later. :-D

We're supposed to be experiencing high winds today but, no sign as yet. It looks lovely outside.

Off to the usual later......see you soon ~~~~~~~~~~~~
