Re the Fest. Just wondering if their is a cider distillery hiding in the background there.....that could account for the numbers.... :-D

It would also account for your OH being rather late home :-D :-D

OH is out today, and tomorrow


it's the annual Apple Fest at the Garden, and he helps out ............... the Fest (like all sales etc there) is organised by the Volunteer group.

I heard an announcer on the raido a few minutes ago say thet 20,000 people were expected at the Fest over the 2 days :-0


I do know that they have over 60 varieties of apples for sale, in 5 or 10 lb bags .............. as well as some apple trees, etc.

Went into a card shop today and, whilst I was at the till, the manageress asked a young assistant to fetch something ......apparently it had Prince William's face on it.

The young assistant looked ill at ease.....she didn't know what Prince William looked like!!! The Manageress shook her head sadly and went to fetch whatever it was herself!

She lamented the lack of knowledge with some youngsters today. She went on to tell us that the young girl only recognised the Queen's picture because she had a crown on! It seems another assistant had thought a picture of President Obama was Lewis Hamilton..................sigh.

I remember my daughter telling me that where she last worked, one of the girls asked if the Queen was married. !!!


I think even my grandchldren can sort that lot out by themselves............
