Purple for a hair colour is actually rather nice [I quite liked blue too!] - except when your daughter rinses it off in the shower but doesnt rinse the shower wall down propertly. I still,periodically, have pink grout in the shower even though it bleach it with neat bleach - it still comes back!!!

Dreading the white stuff. Am thinking of getting some of those snow grip thingeys you can put over your shoes.


We have a glass door on our shower too Dea.


Daughter has purple highlights in her hair....! Actually, it looks quite nice.

My neighbours have gorn to India again - I have just been in and put their central heating on (remember the burst pipes and frozen boiler last year ??) - Looks like I have just been in time??

The offices next door to ours are occupied by paramedics/ambulance service...they have been in an emergency meeting with the NHS this week

.....to prepare for snow THIS month

It's costing them thousands to kit the ambulances with snow tyres

My little grandson has hair which feels like straw !!!

I often wonder about it ???

He is a lovely boy and 3 years old now but I have never felt hair like his on a child before? - I wonder about a thyroid problem ???

Well I used to clean the grout and seals with pure bleach and scrubbing but it never came off

So the spray just gets rid of it bit by bit.......ace

I dont bleach my hair either although I do have colours run through it, brown, blonde and a tiny bit of red...but no bleach, it makes your hair look like straw

We got rid of the shower curtains and bought a glass door !!! - Much easier !!!

The shower curtain around my bath doesn't suffer as I can only have baths, not showers!!

Well, it was hardly rocket science was it?

I soak my dishcloth in bleach every night so it's always snowy white.......until OH forgets to rinse off plates which have tom sauce or baked beanie type stuff on them - then it's red and white......doh!


I also bleach spray my white cutting boards - OH has the habit of chopping carrots on them and they end up with a bright orange middle! I don't use a board when slicing carrots - I just hold them - much quicker.


There is a special mould/bleach spray you can buy - my daughter recommends it for the bottom of shower curtains!


One thing I have never bleached is..........

Old fashioned cleaning.....when I did the windows today, I washed them first then used water and vinegar and polished them with kitchen towel....ding*

Message from a colleague at work......Cynthia, my bathroom is now mould free, thanks to your tip about the bleach spray

Oh Sylv ...Yes I do have problems sleeping some nights ok last night though...I still have 6 - 8 hours sleep so not a problem
