I'm so used to being blonde or grey, and with green eyes, that I really don't think brown hair and eyes is ............ me!

but you are a very pretty little girl in that picture!

did you like the pink bear??

I rahter liked IGP losng his green pen to Detective, and getting the sunflower in return. Which is what I saw on a couple of threads :-D

Sorry that you did'nt like being me Sylv

But brown eyed brown haired little girls are lovely and I should know :-D

It was mentioned to me when I changed my avatar that someone wanted me to put my little girl with plaits back as it was one of their favourite avatars....so there :-P

for Gins:

http://flavorsofitaly.blogspot.com/2007/10/fresh-tomato-sauce-with-ricotta.html

I just make it for enough for the two of us, I did not have fresh Basil so used dried and I don't bother with salt and pepper... we didn't bother with parmesan on top with our veges. It is a good way to use a few over ripe tomatoes which would be useless in a salad or roasted on top of roast veges.

I like fresh green runner beans and cook them up with sliced courgettes or corn or sometimes both, after I pour the water off I put a bit of butter in the pot along with crushed garlic (or that minced garlic in a jar) and bread crumbs and give it a quick stir on the remaining heat on the ceramic hob after it is off.. Gives them a nice flavour other times I use crumbed feta especially with spinach and I love it on cooked pumpkin.

Scrambled eggs.... instead of milk, I use creme fraiche, or 1/2 milk and 1/2 fraiche.whisk that up .... it looks lumpy but once in the pan it is lovely and creamy.. I try not to stir it up too much and leave it to finish off in a dying heat, covered on hob before serving.

it's been the pits this evening!

about 25% of posts have gone through first time!

AND, there've been a lot of moving avatars.

It was quite neat to see IGP lose the green pen to Detective, and get a sunflower in return :-D

Glad to see you back Gracie... missed you.. GR's Facebook has been full of complaints, the Union Jack got hardly a look in...

People's trees have been falling down all over the place and people can't post or else it has the hiccoughs...

Anyway you look after yourself and get your energy back... few doses of Malt or something... your immune system sounds to be a bit low for it to knock you for six like that.

~~~~~ Hi Sylvs..
.
Laines, I think I am too old for David Tennant to pop out of a cake...They would probably have a flashing light coming to get me LK... I would be better equipped to handle the children's version... but not with 36 eggs .. I have never heard of a cake with 36 eggs in it, unless it was one for the Guiness book of records....
That is good to hear Sylvia. I was watching a show last night where these 3 young girls who have tested positive for the gene have all opted to have full masectomies, I think the youngest was 18 the oldest was 22. All of their female relatives had had breast cancer ..pretty sad but they were so brave and matter of fact about it.
I have crashed out of my tree three times now...and it seems a bit slow. That could of course be me, hard to tell today! :-)
Thanks Sylvia, hope you are on the mend. I see by the comments that it was a frustrating weekend on the site!
But...I am trying to access my tree and it tells me sorry there was an error connecting to the gR site :-(
AmazingGrace08 Report 23 Oct 2011 23:40
Morning all, hope everyone is well :-)
I have been stuck in bed the entire week with a double hit of a throat infection and the flu. I don't think I have ever felt so sick in my life and actually had to stay in bed before.
Obviously my flu vaccine didn't work this year!
I missed apparently a lovely week of fine weather, and now it is wet and cold....
Congrats Persie on the All Blacks win, I don't know much about that sport, but I work with a die hard New Zealander who is VERY excited! It is good that after a crappy year for NZ that something good happened.
Hope all is good, Sylvia hope you are feeling better and Jax no after effects of your fall?
I haven't read over the last pages but I assume there was some system problems with the site. Hope it is all fixed now.
Have a lovely day!
:-D
