Find Ancestors

The traffic in front of our house grinds to a halt from about 7.45am onwards and, as I have to get out onto the road to get into the opposite flow, it can take ages and then it's stop start all the way to the hosp.

However, I'd forgotten it's half term and my normal 20min journey took just 6min. Brill. Sailed in as free as a bird. :-D

7.58am before the traffic gets snarled up

What time do you all get up accross the pennines, rush hour(s) here is from 6.30am - 9.30am!

bacon & cheese quiche, mushroom quiche

Tourtiere, Jamaican beef patties, Burgundy beef stew, Thai-style noodles and shrimp


Buttermilk Dollar Pancakes, French toast, Maple syrup, Blueberry Fruit Syrup


Vanilla Bean Youghurt


Toast (sourdough, rye, white, whole grain, 100% brown, Hovis, gluten free), barm cakes


Muffins -- blueberry muffins, chocolate chip muffins, ginger date muffins


Jams, jellies, lemon marmalade, marmite, peanut butter, vegemite

OH felt better on Saturday (after his fall from the ladder), and even better Sunday morning


....... so he went out to the university to help out at the Opera Tea, a fundraiser for the student opera group


Stood around for 3 hours

Came home complaining he was sore


Was even more sore this morning

SO .......................


he phoned the physio's office. :-D Managed to get an appointment with one of them (not one I've had before) for 12:40 pm

He seemed to get on well with her, she gave him some ultrasound treatment, and some exercises, and some advice on how to get out of bed without making the pain worse


and he has to go back to see her on Friday



We're spending a fortune at that place!!


I see both of mine tomorrow .............. Matt, my regular guy, at 1 pm, and Marj at 3 pm. Then I see Marj again on Saturday.

first time I've managed to get on here today!


I made an appointment to have my hair cut for 2:30pm .................. time to be on here, have lunch, etc etc.


Hairdresser called at noon ............. could I possibly get down there in 10 minutes, or maybe by 12:30, or 12:40. If not, what about Tuesday (nope, got 2 appointments already that day)


I made it for 12:45 pm ................. having to walk all the way 'cos there were no buses in sight.

Furthest I've walked in 6 weeks :-0


Turns out she is leaving on Wednesday, at short notice, to go to visit her family in the US for 10 days ......... her youngest brother is very seriously ill in hospital.

She had to go and pick up the plane tickets this afternoon.


Came home by bus, and had my lunch at about 2 pm

Hi all,

Yay have next week off and plan to do NOTHING! mind you the oH decided to have the same time off so no doubt I will be required to do housework and cook still :-P

Persie check out your grandma's hair! Look how much she had! I haven't seen a pic with the hair down like that for a long time. All the ones I have of my Scottish lot have their hair back in a bun.

Mr Hurricane was up at 4.30 am today,Arrrrrrrrrggggghhhh...Made him stay awake ALL DAY and as soon as he hit that pillow at 7 pm...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
