Morning all, hope you are well.

Breakfast sounds very nice..especially the crispy bacon and eggs!

Has anyone ever had any problems using the A**try site for payment? I am using world wide access month to month as I need it, but rather than debiting my account when it is due, it takes one month then immediatley debits the next as well...

Thank you Dea and Cyn for those pieces of information.

Dea: He does indeed already have the 6 children's baptisms. Sadly both Ann and Emma died very young.

Cyn: I will pass the links on to him. You never know living on the other side of the world he may not have come across them.

Jonesey Report 25 Oct 2011 16:54

Hi Gang,

May I ask for a bit of help and advice on behalf of a distant relative of mine who lives in Tasmania. He is tearing his hair out trying to find out who were the ancestors of two of his ancestors in the UK.

They are:

Stephen Young born it is believed in Long Crendon Buckinghamshire c1780, Died Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire 17/8/1823.

Catherine Harris baptised Chadlington, Oxford on 10/1/1786, parents Thomas Harris and Mary (Nee Smith). Died 18/11/1858 in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire.

The couple married at St Giles, Oxford on 13/10/1806.

He has explored every avenue that he has access to (Online genealogy sites in the main) but has so far failed in his attempts to come up with the answers he seeks. He has reached the point where he thinks that his only hope is to engage the services of a UK based genealogical researcher and has asked me if I can offer him any advice which will help him find a good and reliable professional Researcher. I have no experience whatsoever of professional researchers so I am basically asking whether any of you have any experiences or tips that might be of some use to him.

Here's hoping.
