Definitely an interesting evening Persie and very different to shows we used to watch our children in...... :-D

Hug our teachers????? Never in a million years! We were far too in awe of them.

I well remember the Head Mistress at my senior school. She was a middle-aged spinster of whom we were rather scared because she was very 'old school' type and discipline was high on her agenda. 40 years later I discovered she was in the same nursing home as my mum - just along the corridor in fact. I used to visit her and was so saddened to see the decline in her mental state and behaviour. Her faculties declined quite rapidly and I once found her lying in her bed in a state of undress. I remember gently covering her up and feeling nothing but pity for her. Good job we don't know what's coming to us.... :-(

On that cheerful note I will orf and do my messaging for people who just don't read the flippin' guidelines......... :-S

I loved watching them.. but himself wasn't very enthusiastic about going. Though he did say Maia inherited her talent from him. (Not)

Thank goodness my 10 year old grandson can sit there and watch quietly. He loves to dance and leaps around like Kevin Bacon in the original Footloose. At his mother's 40th birthday party there were about four or five of his mates there .. he was 8 then ... and they could not persuade Evan to get off the dance floor and go and play with them.

What I found interesting was one very stunning girl came on and did a shake your booty type dance... if I had done that when I was at school I probably would have been severely reprimanded. Totally different these days.. we would never have been allowed to say a*se... and they hug their teachers, another thing that would have been frowned upon.

Later their was a burlesque dance and several dances with topical themes.. eg one on melanoma, one between boy and girl in a bad relationship, another on people trafficking and one dedicated to Nia Glassie a little girl here who died as a victim of child abuse ....

So it was an interesting evening. Pxx

Glad your teefs is all clean - the smile is quite dazzling!

You must be so proud of your granddaughter Persie.....has she inherited her talents from you :-D

Studiously ignoring that Fans.............must have more energy than I gave her credit for... :-|

Housework done - just a bit of ironing and I can relax. Didn't have time to turn round yesterday.

Must get a shower now..........

That's quite a nice breakfast Dea... I like yoghurt and cornflakes for breakfast.

Mind you I also like bacon but very rarely have it for breakfast.

We have not long got home after 2 and half hours of watching all sorts of dancing. My grand daughter was in two with her year, and one with a group (who were mostly older than her) and she also did a solo. At the end Maia along with four others have been awarded dance leaders for next year (her final year at College). :-) :-) :-)
