Hi sylv,

Not sure what to do as I don't want to tell my neices etc otherwise they will all worry and there is just so much going on with hen's nights, kitchen teas, birthdays etc! It is such a busy time.

Not sure how long I will be in for, they told me it depends on what they find when they "have a proper look on the inside" :-( :-( not looking forward to it though!

French toast - yes please. Fried bread - yes please. Crispy bacon - yes please. :-D :-D :-D

I could just eat all that now but it's a bit late at night... :-(

Hi Gracie, isn't that just typical timing?? Could someone else drive you perhaps? Hope it all works out and try not to get stressed or you will send your blood pressure up.....

Night all - it's hard work being a stripper..... ;-)

Ive always called it French Toast but know that some call it eggy bread (JB does)

We had it last time about a year ago...............it doesnt go as crispy with olive oil (we only use that and rapeseed) though, still good though

Dad used to cook us porridge for breakfast, with golden syrup poured on top.....mom only cooked dinner at about 6pm

Hi Grace

we usually serve French toast with maple syrup, and bacon on the side. Some people add lumps of butter or "whipped" butter as well.

That's not good timing! Is there anyone else in the family who could do the driving for you??

How long will you be in hospital?

Morning everyone,

Ginny hope you are feeling better today and your nasty cold is going away.

Sylvia I LOVE french toast ym...OH makes a really nice one, but I don't particuarly like it with bacon, more with fresh banana's and maple syrup.

Got my letter from hospital last night telling me I have to be there at 7am next Wednesday and a whole list of things to bring. After waiting months for the operation, of course it comes through a couple of days before my nephew's wedding! Got myself all stressed last night worrying about how I am going to be driving Gracie around for photos etc (she is a flowergirl) and getting me ready, and not supposed to be driving apparently at all. :-(

Persie that was very astute of you! yep...that is a picture of Mt Dandenong anout a 5 minute drive from where I live.

Have you ever tried a twix sandwiche? It has to be white bread and you have to have 'butter' on it - but if you like sweet and sour stuff [i.e. cheese and onion crisps with a sweet scone] then you will just LOVE this!!

lainie39 Report 14 Nov 2011 21:47

What is the temperature out there at the moment Sylv - it is currently about 10 centigrade here?????????????? [I dont fully understand the fahrenheit/centigrade thing over here]
