My mother had all of us wandering around with a piece of camphor in a little bag hanging around our necks.. I hated going to school with that on ... I smelt like I had just come out of moth balls.

Vicks was our camphorated greasy stuff that she would rub on my back and chest when I was small... Plus I had a spoon of malt every day (I actually liked that)

Good morning all. I hope you are all in good 'shape' today!!!

Mind you, so many seem to be worn out with all the exercise they're doing. I find cleaning windows is enough for me.

Thank you for brekkie Sylvs.....not had potato cakes in a while! Love the throught of the chese thingeys. I'm the only one who can eat cheese in this house so I don't keep much in. :-(

OH's neck was a bit better but he still had to take painkillers. Will probably phone the Parky's nurse for some advice.... :-S

Gins.......wrap an old smelly sock round yer froat! Should cure anything.

Anyone remember when we used to have our chests rubbed with camphorated oil - worked wonders at clearing congestion!

Anyone see Jonesey lately? He's been v.quiet.

I sometimes have a croque monsieur at a cafe in our village they are called Voila... and they do all sorts of crepes and other delightful goodies. There one has a lot of grated cheese on top of the toast as well which goes lubbly bubbly under the grill, and I make a stringy mess when eating it. Some others I have seen are not nearly as nice as theirs.

All exercised out... I finished before himself so I went on the treadmill and did a lap as well. He was feeling weary and zausted before he even got to class.

Ginny - I see breakfast - 'through the round window' ............ :-D

Lovely breakfast Sylvia - so many 'special extras' to choose from <3

I just LOVE potato farls (You have to be very careful not to mis-type that one! - Lets just call them potato pancakes? ;-)).

So... potato pancakes, sausages, lots of maple smoked bacon, grilled mushrooms and tomatoes and a Maille Croque Monsieur 'on the side'. - That sounds about right, and I will follow it up with Caribbean Banana Fritters drizzled with syrup..........

Sheer heaven - thank you Sylvia <3 <3 <3

Hi Persie

no, I find it relaxing but not tiring

....... I think it was just the walking, and bus rides

............... I do get tired very quickly at the moment, and I know that is going to take several weeks at least to improve.

which exercise trainer is it this week???

Do you find that the physio tires you Stlv?

You have progressed very quickly, don't want you overdoing it... falling asleep in front of the computer..

Edit: gotta go... off to exercise class.... :-S

I've only just managed to get on the site!

Went for physio .......... it was a lovely day! Sunny, blue sky ......... but chilly!

I wore my winter jacket for the first time. There was snow on the tops of the mountains on the other side of the harbour.

Just gorgeous!!

I was so tired by the time I got home ................ after having lunch near the physio, then going to meet OH for coffee ....... that I sat down in front of the computer

and fell asleep!

then it was dinner time

then I had to read the news headlines, etc, on my server page.

geez ................. it was all go!
