Do you have different accents in Oz ? There are so many over here.

Not so noticable in the south East they all sound like a London accent to me.
Liverpool and Manchester are only 20/30 miles apart and they have very strong different accents.

HID is from Liverpool but he has lived in so many different places he does'nt really have any accent but you can tell he is not from Essex
:-D

I think I can tell the difference between an Oz and NZ accent...the NZ tends to go higher at the end of each word ? and they are not wearing hats with corks hanging off it
:-D

I wondered where it had come from

........ I went in there in the dark the other night to make sure there were enough stores stashed away, and stubbed my toe on it

OUCH!

Now we all know you talk like that, while you are drinking a Tinnie at your Barbie.

Just like us cockeneys who sound like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins

I think they should bring back Skippy :-D

LOL Persie, honestly sometimes when wewatch people taking us off we just look at each other and say surely we don't sound like that!

Gracie went through a stage of saying that's okay mate in response to anything anyone asked her! Not sure where she picked that up from!

Yes Lainie that's the hidey hole... I struggled a couple of pages back with lots of grunting and have moved a fridge into the hidey hole so as the eggy toasts will keep a bit longer Dea had to throw some out...

We will not be putting twix sandwiches or any other horrible combination you come up with Lainie into said fridge.

Dea made a great toad in the hole so I knicked some of that... I make individual ones in muffin tins... maybe they are frogs in little holes...

OOh Gracie I do hope everything will be okay, I have seen what the fires can do when I was in South Australia after one lot. I was so upset when Maryville and Kingslake had those bad fires and all the little animals that suffered as well. If they get bad our blokes will be coming over there as well so hope it does not even think about reaching that point.

You talking about Cobber... I think we only heard that twice, the first time years and years ago and OH got excited, he said that some one had said to him 'scuse I cobber'... to get both expressions in the one sentence was funny.

I LOVED the french toast and crispy bacon - THANK YOU Sylvia - although I was a little disturbed by Dea apparently 'eating' so much of it!! She cannot possibly have eaten all that she took !!

What is the secret store???? Is that a place in your house Sylvia where we can go an find everything out heart desires????

A twix sandwiche - white buttered bread with a twix inside it!!! Do not try unless you like sweet and soar stuff together - i.e. a sweet sandwiche with crisps or chocolate with bread and butter. If you do like the above then I highly recommend. Branston pickle on fried bread - you really MUST try this if you like both!!

I never said that I was normal!!!! :-P

Poor Ginny, you must be unwell!!

Please let me assure you, in case they have dumbed us down, we don't say G'day everytime we meet someone, call them cobber or mate etc etc!

Some of the things they shows us as makes me cringe!

Persie our forecast is for really hot and muggy. High fire danger this year for grass fires. Our brigade is on standby this year for the long haul strike teams, which means if we are called, 5 days away on 12 hours shifts. OH and myself try to alternate if possible, but fingers crossed it will just rain, rain rain (but not to teh point of flooding!)

I see we are still travelling on along in the medical vein... well not Fans not sure where she is travelling ... looks like the yellow brick road.

Cyns.. I do hope your friend comes through all this okay...

Dea why do you need something to be larger than 200% can you copy it to your own picture viewer and magnify and drag around until you get what you want? You don't have to see the fly dirt on the pages... There is always soOur dameway around things on computers so you can get the result you want.

Our days are getting better and sunnier.... when that happens usually means we will have a wet Christmas....

Hi Sylvs.....pretty certain the breakdown was caused by caring for both her husband and her brother in law. It was just too, too, much for her. They have both died now but hopefully she will be able to build a life for herself.

Hope it all works out well for her.
