Sylv ... meant to mention saw Dea making a purchase at corner shop.... she could hardly carry it on the bus home... it's a wonder her clingfilm didn't fall off as well.

The plate she bought was a monstrous size meat dish... I haven't seen one that size
"since mother sold the wringer"

This site does some dumb things... went down to reply and my last one was still there... refreshed and Dea's hungry post popped up... went down to reply and my last post was still there...

Gracie probably hasn't really got over her last one so is possibly susceptible to another round... and you are right Sylv they sometimes don't want you there if you have a cold.... our main public hospital where I worked had a system where the air conditioning cold air came on on a certain date and the heaters went off and vice versa... result patients came in with a broken leg and went home with a bad cold or pneumonia. I got a doozey of a cold the first year I was there and then never had one for the next four years.. became immune to all the germs that were flying around.

Morning all

I have brought my 'bigger plate' Sylvs so I have room on it for all that lovely breakfast now ;-)

Hope you get rid of that cold soon Gracie, you do keep catching them don't you? Perhaps you need some vitamins or something?

I was always told 'Starve a fever, feed a cold' so you had better get stuck into this breakfast with me - that will help your cold to go away!

J would fall asleep within minutes of the car moving .............. even into she was in her early teens!

It never failed.

I was going to say to Grace, that there was a "threat" to me that an op could be cancelled if you had a cold :-(

Yes do get rid of that cold Gracie.. don't want the hospital giving you their meds..

I got ampercillin jabs in each leg for 3 or 4 days, thought nothing of it till I got home and thought hmm I would like a nice relaxing hot soak in the bath... and my legs did not want to go there and I was only 21. This was in the days when one stayed in hospital for over a week after having a child.

Great having little ones around Sylv... when Evan was pre one, he would not go to sleep he cried and cried so bunged him in the push chair and took him for a ride ( a sure way of him going to sleep... fail ... ) he was quiet as... but no sleep. So we played till all hours... He was the only one I had trouble with thank goodness.

I turn up and wonder why there is a picture of Philip Glenister as Ginny's avatar and had to go way back to see why... We have Mad Dogs on tonight ... final episode.. Max Beesley is fairly quiet in this one... I first really watched him in that medical drama called "Bodies" ... it was a bit like watching fly on the wall documentary or reality TV at times... it really was let's show everything.

I had to check who is Alexander Armstrong... yes seen him in lots of programmes.. sort of one of those that is good but don't remember his name category.

Colin Farrel... In Bruges...great movie .. laughed and came out of the theatre thinking now what was that all about... and was still thinking about it several days later as it filtered through my brain. (yes I have one)

My one that I like is Lawrence Fox... and I am also a David Morrissey fan.. who starred in the Blackpool TV program singing .. Lainie probably watched it and drooled and dribbled since David Tennant was in it.

And one of the nicest actors is Martin Clunes... I loved his docos on the Islands of Britain and the other one with him learning more about horses.

Hi dea

I should be OK thanks . xxxx

...........OH will be taking them back to the airport about 7:30 pm ........ she wants plenty of time to get through security, etc, and get settled.

The kiddies will be pretty tired by then.

They arrive in Whitehorse at about midnight ............. and the temperature will be about -26C

It's 7 weeks since they left, for holidays, which included about 3 weeks in Mexico, so they don't have too many warm clothes.

The 3 year old had to borrow some of his cousin's clothes earlier this week while up seeing his grandmother

............. he thought pink boots were "cool"! :-D

Cliff Richards has not come out.

I was reading something about him only yesterday ...... apparently a new radio station in the UK, going to specialize in 60s music, has banned him, as he is not "representative" of that ere :-S :-S :-S

One of the things I read said that he lived with a priest, who was his proprty manager and friend, but he denied being gay ...... saying ti was no-one's business.

I remember him starting ........ my landlady's daughter was crazy about him, and I took her to see him in his first movie!

Being 23, I was considered a safe escort for a 16 year old :-D
