Ginns,

They always say 'a little knowledge is a dangerous thing' - I have a 'little knowledge on MANY subjects, including Plumbing !!

Fortunately, I have (just) enough intelligence to be able to explore further from the 'little knowledge that I have' and not jump to silly conclusions!

Have a lovely time with your 'Friday night gang', even if it is still only Thursday!!

I think its a 1950/60s thing when they add kitchen and bathrooms on bit by bit to places..At least I cant have much damage even if it is a burst pipe,no carpets, red cardinal tiles with washable rugs and its a bungalow..:)
Spoke to Sparky..Hes at a mates house as he has had 2 burst pipes in his house and brought down one bedroom ceiling (storage room full of stuff)and one in the downstairs loo...Waiting on the insurance people before he can clean up he says...So hes not a happy bunny and says **** your plumbing.!
Plus Lady friend back in Wigan taking her son home,so no help with the cleaning up anyway till tomorrow earliest when she returns...

I see you're still talking about Fans pipes!

Cor....I am......cream....cr...ack...er..ed but I think my daughter has enjoyed her day for which I am grateful. I put my all into it.....so.......can't do more. It's really hard to please folk with AS and takes a lot of walking on glass, tiptoeing around, saying the right thing and as much planning as poss. No big surprises or changes of plan. We just had son and grandkids (d-i-l poorly) and a couple of friends round. Daughter admitted she could not have coped with a party. Fair enough.

Just having a sit down and a relax on here.........

okay, let's get back to discussing Fan's plumbing.......hope you don't have to dig up your concrete Fans......ahh

Just got back from work. Had to take down and store everything from the Christmas window and make sure everything is perfect for the sale on the 4th. My back is throbbing now.

Dea that was a side shoot on my own tree so no thread. I can give you access if you would like. it is sometimes easier to follow that way. It is not direct line so not essential but I do like to keep things tidy. It was following my great grandfathers second wife. she died just 2 years before I was born.

I am glad that you are sorted with the shop LK..Please take the rest of the evening off and relax..:)

Good to know that the Birthday Bash went without mishap Cyn...

My kitchen floor will NOT be jackhammered up,we would have to take up Laminate flooring first too so new piping will be put in instead if no water by next week coming out my kitchen sink cold tap.
Less work,so probably cheaper and fall less mess..I have had it with building works for a while..The dust takes too long to go...

Good idea LK,but I am skint at the moment, what with Hols Espana and Xmas.
Plus I have used up my Pet/ House sitting favours for a while.
Do have to go to Somerset soon as I still havent given my Kids and grandkids and parents their xmas prezzies yet,but that will be one night only, and anyway staying at mothers is no holiday for me,I cant relax there as Im always aware that she thinks I should be DOING something..

O.K. then folks - here is breakfast>>>>>>>>>>>

Get it quick before that Cynthia arrives and scoffs the lot!

Choice of cereals and porridge

Crispy bacon, sausages, eggs, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread etc in the warmers.

Warm bread rolls, toast - butter, jams + spreads (+ marmite) !

Tea, coffee, juices.

I've had mine!

See you later.

Cynthia Report 31 Dec 2010 09:03

Thanks Dea, I've enjoyed that.......I love Marmite.

Just hoping that today isn't too much of a let down for daughter as she can suffer from birthday blues.

The more I tidy this house up at the moment, the more of a muddle it looks! We no sooner get rid of one lot of prezzies and paper stuff and then another lot arrives.....sigh. Hopefully ship shape by next week!
