Gins

I just wiiggle each toe - then move each ankle - then move each knee and so on - fingers wriist elbows shoulders etc wiggle my neck - chin - blink eyes
And then said my mantra over and over

After a very little while - could fall fast asleep after my toes and before I got to ankles - and almost never have even a dream - that I could remember

She was well before her time - this was almost 40 odd years ago I was taught this method

I think.....my opinon only

You get a thing in your head and it fooks you up. Ive had stuff too and it really got me down until I 'revealed' it to others

The worse things are the 'devils' you keep in your head

Dont let them stay there......................tell someone and they go away ;)

There used to be a verynold saying of

A trouble shared - is a trouble halved

It applies to many many things

Head "games" are the very worst to keep bottled up

Get them out - any way you can - is my motto

But it can be very difficult I know

Thanks everyone for the hugs last night - I had a reasonable sleep - still 'bad dreams' but mainly of the violent and confusing type which I am used too and can talk myself out of. NOT the 'Horror movie' type I was caught up in the night before!

Thanks also for your suggestions - the trouble is that my dreams are not caused by anything I am worrying about - I don't get those because I have never been one to 'worry' about things.

These dreams are chemically induced 'hallucinatory' side effects of my various medications so there is nothing I can do to controll them. I have worked out how to lessen and even get rid of some of the other side effects by taking the various meds at different times throughout the day but I can't sort out the dreams.

It seems many of you have nightmares too so I am sending you all hugs in return (((((( Xxx )))))))

I lay down with lappie on me on a tray so no room for mouse. Also I am right handed but dont have the use of it to control a mouse.
HID as just removed his mouse and put it on my left hand side on a table mat slipped under the Lappie seems to work saves buying a new lap top, send him out later to buy a wireless one I suppose, I remember when I lived with my left handed sister she changed her clicker to the opposite side which I found awkward, but it would work out better for me now (wonder if she bought it like that)

So glad you had a more comfortable night Dea and here's hoping you sleep even better tonight.

I need more than 24 hours in a day

Renes

Renes Report 28 Dec 2010 09:30

Jax

Most can be set up to left or right click - in the mouse set up options

I am r/h bit always use my left hand for mouse

Used my right hand for the numeric keyboard when I was working

Otherwise you keep taking off r/h from numerics to move mouse

Made all my staff work that way too - everyone soon learnt

Renes

Dea - that bacon buttie was delic

jax

jax Report 28 Dec 2010 09:53

Yeah I just googled it so may do that. I can still use the pad thingy to move the curser about ect its just the button on the left hand side that has finally broke.
As I dont have any feeling in my thumb and index finger on my right hand it would be useless trying to use it, just have to learn to be cack handed now

Hi Dea, glad you had a better night's sleep. Each time my OH goes to see his Parkinson's nurse/doc they always ask if he is getting hallucinations/nightmares. Not sure whether he is expected to be having them or it's something he has to look forward to!! All to do with meds like you.

Gins, how interesting to know that you are a good dancer!!! lol

I use a mouse on my desktop and the slidepad on my laptop. Not sure which I prefer. Ja...x, is the middle finger of your right hand okay? That's the one I use on the slidepad.

Have picked up the cake and it looks very good. Purple ribbon (her favourite colour), a handmade Tatty Ted (she collects them) holding a 40 and sunflowers round the edge (favourite flower). The large bottom layer is a fruit cake and the smaller one on top is sponge. Apparently, when I take the ribbon off they will separate easily.

Bought two helium balloons with Tatty Ted on. I hope she enjoys it all after all this!!
