O.K. then folks - I am not cooking today but here is something to nibble on for breakfast, or brunch if you prefer ...................

All the usual cereals
Porridge

Turkey or Ham sandwiches with apple sauce and stuffing
Hot sausage rolls (home made)
Chicken liver pate with garlic and brandy (home made)

Fresh bread (white and brown) for toast
Crumpets, crackers
Selection of cheeses

Variety of spreads, jams, and marmite

Tea, Coffee and juices.

Home made trifle for afterwards (if you still have room) !! - I will leave that in the fridge in case you can't face it until later !!!

Hope everybody is okay and not suffering from bad heads. Hope Fans has sorted her pipes out. I've just been outside to unblock ours but decided I was making too much noise for 7am on a Sunday morning! Will tackle it in another hour or so.

Christmas vegetable ommelette anyone?

OH is brilliant at them.

He found some wonderful prints of the old Woolwich ferry on line and got them framed for me including some pictures of the houses on Nile Street where some of my lot lived. .
He is so sweet.

My Dad worked on it too. I have vague memoris as a child of looking at the engines working and the wooden gangplanks.

Mum had a great day yesterday. Bro who lives 10 mins away 'decided' to stay for Lunch which made Mum's day which in turn made my day seeing her so happy.

Glad he stayed and made mum happy Toots..Bros can be ok sometimes..I have 4 of the species so I know what they can be like...Sigh..Plus 3 sons and lots of Grandsons..bigger sigh.

Now if your OH could explain how to do thoughtful things to my HID I would be most grateful LK,and unfortunately our pipes are still frozen and not a little leak coming from the taps..HID has gone to get water from neighbour,just to flush the loo if nothing else to start with..
The pipe coming into the house is frozen it would seem,not the ones inside,so looks like we shall have no water for a while till this weather eases..
Oh well,lived without running water before and at least this time its only a step over the road to get some...Not a half mile trek....
Hot water tank (switched off)is nearly out as well so water for washes and Tea will have to be carried across as well.Washing up can wait..;)

Morning all..............

We had a fantastic day and evening. We were watching TV when we had a carol singer....one of the Friday night gang!

So that led us to all singing and dancing all night.........we have photos on various phones so I'll upload them to FB when I can find them

The baubles from the tree came in handy as earings for all the boys!

No hangover........just very tired

The oven will be in the bin later this week!

Part 2

The secret santa gift that came from Denmark......all the slippers were worn ALL day and this morning by our friends

The best bit is the slipper holder itself, came in handy as a Pope hat and was the funniest thing to see the men taking it in turns to wear it while dancing....I'll upload the photos and you'll see what I mean!

Brother did say that it's probably only best to do that indoors and at Christmas!

Well we all survived Christmas ---- we had a lovely quiet day together -- made all my telephone calls and received lots ---- everyone happy with gifts and I loved all mine --- we were opening them at 7,45 am --- OH -- who of course "Never bothers about parcels " -- had already asked me twice "When are we going to open them" ---worse than kids

Gins -- your house seems to have been the in place

Fans -- Definitely not -- no flushing water --- was the pub lunch good

Cyn -- Good lunch prepared by Son ------how lucky

LK -- Prints sound great -- what a lovely surprise--and thanks for my Gillett work

Toots ---So glad Brother "toed the line" -- Well done your power of persuasions must be awesome --- ( or possibly threats !!! )

Beautiful sunny and hot day here OH in the garden -- getting ready for bonfire -- to get rid of all the summer and Autumn garden waste -- Apricot tree cut back and a mountain of branches to be trimmed back before burning --- so he a little lumber jack today --- in his new hat !!!

Had a nice day with the parents and sister and some lovely gifts that I was'nt expecting. Not used to sitting in a chair all day so back is killing me today. HID is working tonight was going to go to parents again but have decided to stay home, mum understands as she said she could'nt sit on my furnature for for that amount of time either.

Wow!!

Just had some trifle - we couldn't face it yesterday but just found a bit of room!

It was 'truly' delicious !!

The only thing my mother taught me to 'cook' (she was not very 'at home' in the kitchen). - Quite plain, no sherry etc, but really yummyyy !!! - I have to make them for all the family at Christmas time as they, and all their friends, are addicted !

Hey ja...x was wondering how you got on. So glad it went well and that you got some lovely prezzies. At least when you are in your own place you can stretch out for comfort.

My boiler pipe part is in!! I had to phone cos the pipe looks as though it may be split....not surprised really. The chap told me the part is showing as in and to ring tomorrow. Too true I will!

I can't get my 'tummy' to fasten into my jeans ! - O.K., so they are a size 6 but even so, it does not look very good when it has to flop over the top of the waistband !

I will have to start my exercising again in the New Year !!
