I used to be the tall green one. Have shrunk maybe 1/4 inch. And the hair solution is slightly redder than real. ;)

Sylvia, thank you. I knew Nov 11 (which I call "Novembrance Day" every time I say it, just can't make it stop) is a holiday, but I'd forgotten today is the day. So here's me rushing to get work done that was due last week that I promised yesterday to submit today ... and even to get some works due tomorrow that I thought I might submt a little early ... and nobody is there to care.

So it's 11:30 now and I'm missing the ceremonies on tv. I don't think there has ever been a year when I did, except the years when I went to the ceremony before it became the 'in' thing to do and several tens of thousands of other people started going.

Oh well, it's the same thing every year. That horrible screeching children's choir doing violence to Flanders Fields, and holy man after holy man offering up ostentatious public greetings to their spirit in the sky, especially the supercilious Rabbi whatsisname. I always just feel like chopped liver. And this year there will undoubtedly be lots of yammering about supporting our troops in Afghanistan, so I'm better off out of it. I'll listen for the fly-by though!

Mmm. Chopped liver! Do you have a recipe for that Janey? ;)

It's getting very wild and windy here and storms are forecast for later on........deep joy. I enjoy thunder and lightning storms but am not keen on high wind storms.

It's OH's burfday tomorrow and a friend took us out for lunch for the occasion. We thought we were just going to a local restaurant but when we got in the car he told us we were going to Salmsbury Hall - about 30mins away. Very good it was too. I had one of my favourite desserts......creme brulee.

Fans.......don't just drop the prezzie through my letterbox, please call in and deliver it in person!!

Hey JC

I have just had a message about a Monk one name study.

Have you had contact with them?

I have just added Hannah Monk who married Jeremiah Wingoe in Abridge Essex.

1841 census - household transcription
Person: MONK, Hannah
Address: High Ongar Street, High Ongar
MONK, John M 44 1797 Essex
MONK, Jane F 45 1796 Essex
MONK, Mary F 20 1821 Essex
MONK, George M 18 1823 Essex
MONK, Hannah F 16 1825 Essex
MONK, Harriet F 13 1828 Essex
MONK, Edward M 3 1838 Essex
BIGGS, George M 35 1806 Essex

You had Essex connections somewhere I think.
I cannot remember if that was your Moncks or not.

Still at work so will call in later.

Cyns

Bet it is will be a small prezzie - if it goes thru the letter box

It was 24 deg at 1.00pm ( about 76 deg ) and a beautiful clear blue winter sky - no wind -

Problem is that's cold for us - OH was in his jumper and I had a light weight -jackety - thing on and holiday makers are walking about in shorts and t shirts

That temp drops to 60 over night and we freeze - log stove roaring away beside me
As I write this

Good grief my sister can natter - 79 min telephone call - and I only spoke to her Monday for 50 mins - that was "short" as the Internet went down again - said as she finished - " love you loads - will phone on Sunday or Monday "

Only thing I am worried about - is how the stilettos - fish net tights and imitation leather mini skirt will be viewed but the natives -

Also - I have a lampost recently erected very special in a rural village ) just near my house - there's not one by hers -

So ... Could be difficult ......

Fans

You better not cancel - I picked you a crate of pomegranate - and am putting them down your house in the morning - I certainly don't want them back again !!!!

Remember we are a bit behind Cardiff - we still have tights. ' ere - or extremely alluring below the knee stockings - just peeping out from the skirt !!!!!
