Its worth it Fans, Gatwick is a big airport anyway and I doubt if I could have walked to the gate even then. On the way back we were picked up in a buggy along with a couple of old ladies, luggage collected and taken right to the taxi rank.
We tipped the man but have been told they should'nt accept money??

Pass port Photos
Being the age I am now I am not really speaking for myself (allthough comiserations to my life long friend who quite frankly by the end of this procedure looked like a gonk) anyone remember them, but I have to empathsise with the youth of today being confronted by such severe photo shoots!!

Hi

almost 1½ hours having my eyes tested

to be told

"you have very interesting eyes"

"I think we should get you checked out once again by the retinologist you saw 15 years ago ................. just to be sure"

Anyway .............. right eye has only altered by 1 point, left not altered at all ............ so she said I didn't really need new glasses

Oh yes I do, sez I ...... the arm came off these frames last week, it's been wobbly for weeks ............... and anyway, I want a change!

now waiting for an appointment to be made in January

re passports

I liked the fact that we got our daughter her own passport when she was a baby because we were going to be travelling for a year.

The photo was taken when she was 9 months old

we left Canada when she was 15 months old, and returned when she was 27 months old

anyone ever noticed the difference in a child between 9 months and 15 months?????

and that passport was good for 5 years

......... they're good for 10 years now, and my nieces and my daughter are all getting passports for their babies!

A holiday....what, why dont we have one too, I think its a fab idea

The best we'll do here is the city will be very quiet at 11.00am....some of the main roads will be closed for 2 minutes

Good morning all. What would we do without our Sylvs and her wonderful breakfasts. She spoils us! Thanks.

Gonks! Haven't thought of them in years with their large, slightly wobbly stary eyes and flat feet. Dea, the one on the left is Janey because of the hair colouring.....she only looks like the one on the right when she's feeling poorly!

So Fans is off to meet Renes eh? The question is:

Does Renes know what she is letting herself in for???

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 11 Nov 2010 10:35
